Have they come up with a gen2 Aspen multipump that doesn't leak, bind, or that has been improved?

I have done a lot of research into these recently and it looks like many of those issues have been corrected in recently manufactured Aspens.  From what I've read the main remaining issue is the overheating of the main seal in the pump, but that can be resolved by altering your technique to a slower and more frequent pumping.  I don't own one so I can't speak from experience, but multiple recent forum threads seem to come to the same conclusion.  There is also a lot of info about changing that main seal if it does burn up.

Probably true, but, I am a retired purchasing manager, and I am always looking for a deal........

They do nave some .177 refurbs..........maybe I'll be tempted........

I can affirm both the freedom and aspen I have suffer from the main seal issue. 

I haven’t replaced it since switching to pumping only 2-3 shots worth at a time.

A 392 ACP (if AoA still makes them) could serve a similar purpose, with less power.
