CR622 Clip Indexing

Shooting my 622 and the clip jammed. It's the older version w/o the little plastic piece thats used to clear the jam. Had to split the case to get the clip out.
Inserted a pin to keep the trigger/hammer assembly in place but the indexing pawl slipped out. Dues the pawl go on in a specific orientation? I've worked on the 662 before but just lined up the pawl with the pin in the shaft. There's a slot on the pawl that the pin slides into so it can go on one of two ways. One way or 180 degrees the opposite way. Not sure if it even makes a difference

I am not sure of the exact piece you mentioned, but I did have to reassemble a 622 from a bag of parts. I don't remember that it mattered which way the pawl was placed on the operating rod, just that it mated with the pin.
I did have an indexing problem because I missed getting the leg of the spring on the opposite end of the pawl's rod located properly. If that leg is not located like the picture in Derrik's blog the magazine will not rotate correctly.
Derrik's blog has many excellent details on reassebling the 622:

Paul -
Thanks for the reply. I used Nick's tutorial on another airgun blog when I did the re-seal. I would not of even attempted it without it.
I found this blog when researching the clip jam. It's from the Canadian Airgun forum
https://www.airgunforum.ca/forums/topic73457.html
Towards the end he says this:
I also discovered that the indexing pawl had to go the other way. There is some info in the manual about an oval shaped detent spot on the flange. I suppose the tiny mark that I discovered on the part was it, because the new orientation seemed to have solved the issue.
It's what triggered my question as to the orientation of the pawl. I did not think it made a difference
