My fingernails are BHN 10-11 or so.... If I can't scratch a bullet with them, it is 12 or harder.... and IMO too hard for airgun use.... YFMV (your fingernails may vary)…. Bob

In the middle on picture looks like machine casting pistol bullet. It is probably at least 12-14 BHN.... Did you try do dent on it with nail?
