Yes, Dunkirk was an historic event but the movie, Dunkirk, stunk. Is 1917 a good entertainment experience?

Yes, Dunkirk was an historic event but the movie, Dunkirk, stunk. Is 1917 a good entertainment experience?

IMHO it's about the same as dunkirk but I'm still glad I watched it, dunkirk not so much.

Tonight, we watched "LAWMAN", a 1951 Western starring Burt Lancaster, Robert Ryan, Robert Duvall, Lee J. Cobb, et al, on AmazonPrime. A good Western, the likes of which are no longer seen.

Today's movies pretty much not so good....big time! Earlier, we watched 'DUNKIRK' and it left a lot to be desired, Today, we decided to wait for '1917' to be available on Prime rather than go to the Theatre.

That one was on GRIT tonight as well. However, I was watching something else and missed it. Always liked Burt Lancaster for some reason.

IMHO it's about the same as dunkirk but I'm still glad I watched it, dunkirk not so much.

All I can say about Dunkirk is I am glad I didn't pay to see it.

There was a lot of media hype about it and it did not live up to any of it.

Been watching the last season of game of thrones. Man is it gory!! I think I have 2 or 3 more episodes left.

Feel asleep watching GRIT... Woke up still watching GRIT.

Actually on last night was "True Grit" (1969)... one of my favorites.

Watched Pitbull Rescue that I'd recorded to skip thru the commercials. A lot of cute loving dogs they save. Shows how forgiving pitbulls are after going thru a lot of abuse from previous owners and how felons can turn into such good salt of the earth people.

Some odd looking people on that show but when it comes to dogs they are really great people. I enjoy Earl. He's a trip. I never would have liked him back in his criminal days but now he's a really good man and father as well.

Watching Night Crew on The Sportsman Channel. They hunt coyotes, hogs and bobcats by calling them in while using either thermal scopes or super bright lights mounted in the back of their pickup truck and headlamps. Yes those critters will run right up to their truck despite the bright lights as long as they don't smell that the hunters are there.

They sure do get a bad rap for no good reason.
I grew up with 'em, only breed I've ever hand and only breed I ever will.
They can tend to be a bit needy , stubborn, and entitled but that's something you learn to live with
