Can't post video due to newbie status?

After too many attempts and too much wasted time, I believe I'm locked behind some newbie gate because I cannot embed my video.  No explanation and I had to literally read the code in the preview to discover the word "newbie."  I merely wanted to get some help from what the video shows.  What's the deal?

Chris, you are correct.
 New members need to have 20 posts (25?) before they can post pics or videos.
 This policy is there to make sure the new member isn't going to join, post something like an advertisement, then disappear.
 The Admin have always had this and just want new people to participate a while first.
An easy way to do this is go to the new member gate and welcome a few new members like yourself.

Thank you Scott, it makes perfect sense.  I have to admit, my post was at the end of a long and trying day.  I had to do some minor troubleshooting on all 3 of my new items (gun, scope, compressor) to get everyone to play nice together.

Haha, I'd just checked both our profiles. We'd joined exactly 1 year apart, and we both average over 7 posts per day.
We both spend a lot of time here, and we both have a lot to say, apparently.

I ran into the same problem when I joined. Really wanted to post some external links right away. Stumped me for a couple minutes. Then I remembered what it said in rule #10.

Seemed like a good idea for the forum "health", so I patiently waited until I had the 20 post requirement. Didn't take that long. A few hellos from the resident members and my thank-you responses, along with some questions on existing topics got me there PDQ.

There are some forum rules that are pretty important to know. That is why is it a good idea to read through them all at least once.

I looked around for rules or something and I guess I missed this.  I haven't been on a regular forum in about 15 years and forgot about things like this.  I'm too used to Reddit

haha, I was too busy watching squirrel hunting videos    Which is a big reason I'm here.  I have attic squirrels in my rental house and this seemed like a great excuse to empty my wallet.  Snagged my first one yesterday with my first shot.  (After many hours of trying to get my scope to physically stay in line with my barrel) 

Who knew thin, camo gun wrap around a scope would pinch in between the rings and offset the scope enough to visibly see it not being in parallel with the barrel.  Not me apparently!  My 1-shot zero ATN had me REALLY confused when I basically had to max out the X-axis because the initial shot was so far to the side.  After 3 failed attempts to reseat the rings on the rail I decided to get rid of the wrap as I wasn't really liking the look anyway and thought just maybe it was the cause of all this.  WELL DUH!

It was a busier weekend than I had planned   

What really upset me was the highly respected store I bought mine from installed black Hogue furniture instead of the FDE we spoke about at length and was on the receipt.  Imagine waiting 6-weeks on preorder, you get the call it's come in and you pick out off the accessories, wait a week for shipping, open the box expecting to see your hard earned money in the form of a dream and....it's wrong.

I'll receive the proper color set tomorrow but now I have to find a dang metric allen key that's long enough to remove the grip.  This isn't what I paid for!!  /rant
