  When did Daisy start using plastic forends on the Red Ryder?  My gun, according to theblue book, should have either a wood forend and cast iron lever. Or a plastic forend and aluminium lever.
My gun has the wood forend and aluminum lever.  It is a Plymouth, 111 Mdl 40.

Often guns have had stocks and even levers replaced so there's no telling what may have transpired during the last 80 years. "daisy king" has a chronology of the Red Ryder, it's accurate as far as I know.
