Pringles plastic lid for pellet tins

This may have been posted before, but I did not find anything using the GTA search engine.

Anyway, I use a lot of Crosman pellets and the plastic lid off of a Pringles can works great as a lid if you don't like how the screw off metal lids can sometimes be hard to deal with.

LOL!   Well, I had not bought Pringles in years, but I did find them on sale the other day and the thought hit me to try it and it works like it was made for it.

The only problem I can see is you might have to use a permanent marker on the Pringles lid to let you know, at a glance, which pellets are in THAT container.

It is MUCH easier to keep the pellets covered this way (especially if you have to access the pellets often) than using the screw on lids.

Anyway, I only posted about it because I could not find anything when I searched.

Good tip, BackStop. Crosman tins drive me crazy. I usually have to unscrew them the first time using two of the multi-lid remover tools:
Now, Daisy tins, on the other hand, are easily separated.

I usually set the opened Crosman tin in the lid, bottom side down into the lid.   I still do that, but now, I have the Pringles lid (which fits very snug and secure) to keep from spilling pellets.

I was sure someone had already done this, but even my search of the internet turned up nothing.   Then again, as I have said many times in the past, I can look right at something and not see it!  (grin)

soooo...if i'm planning on loooonnnng shooting session, can i fill a pringles container with pellets and use that? 


great idea!  somehow i always get the threads crossed on those crosman tins when closing them.  plus, it shows you how many are left without having to open the tin!

Just dont forget to clean them first. I dont think the salt and grease would be very good for your barrel

Heck... and then you don't even have to lube the pellets!! just don't clean the pringles can beforehand.
however, I don't recommend licking your fingers after retrieving pellets.

I don't know.   My "range" is limited to 55 yards and I can hit a golf ball at that distance consistently... when I remember to put the Freedom on HIGH power!  (grin)

I can also hit a golf ball at 55 yards on LOW power, but I ONLY if I KNOW I am shooting on LOW power.

i can hit a golf ball 50 yards too!  yea, my driving isn't the best part of my game.  but my irons and short game isn't too bad!

Good tip, last time I got into a new crosman can I had to use channel locks to open it.
