Airgun 101 - New alternative to YouTube videos

I know that I will get heat for my response to this but so be it, so sick of the Airgun politics in this industry. Typical end users will never see the inside of this big fat mess that's divided so many in the past year. I emailed Giles and asked a few questions that must have really offended him.
I took a look at the website and was curious how others have acquired space on it, is it primarily for FX Airguns or are other brands welcome? I added a few of your Airgun Gear Show videos to one of our websites. I'm sure that you have been busy with RMAC but I'm still interested to get some of my videos up on Airguns 101. If my videos don't fit the criteria please just let me know?

His response to me was not very pleasant and since then have heard nothing from him even after offering to do anything to help the guy. Back up about a year and a half ago when we started airgunflix.com I had reached out to all these guys for help, mind you I know most ALL of them personally. These guys would not lift a finger to help because no money was involved in the equation. Now people are flocking all over this site like it's a  Godsend...meanwhile our site allows everyone to play, even those that I personally can't stand. This whole thing is all about money, property and prestige for these guys. Very sad

Agreed. The love of money is the root of all evil. The politics and the unending hype machine of the airgun industry is grating. I remember well when Youtube started cracking down the FX boys circled their wagons around each other and left a lot of us independent channels out to dry. Thinning their competition in the process.

I never did move my videos over to you Dana, for no reason but laziness on my part and demoralization from Youtube restricting my most popular videos. I haven't done a real airgun hunting video in about 2 years except for a brief coon miss and a deer harvest with a .357. Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to try to back up all of my videos again. Youtube's terms of service is changing and I'd like to have everything stored up in case they can me at some point in the future. I'll shoot you an email about setting up on your channel.

I am having issues with vid's on A-101 as well. The sound plays fine, however, the video freezes constantly. I will play with it and see if I can get it better.


Giles is working on getting it t the point that comments cam be posted. That is a Biggie to a lot of people.

The few videos I watched on that site were actually hosted by Vimeo.com.

I have been viewing videos on Airgun101 for a good while now.  I am finding some info on a number of airguns that I am interested in, like the JSAR Raptor and FX MKII and some others.  Lot's of other airgun related info as well.  A good site if you ask me for airgun related videos and info.

I will say, for me, that a lot of the gun videos are not as detailed about the gun specifics as I would like.  Although neat to see, they'll do a few trick shots, which doesn't really tell me much about the gun, especially if there is an x-sniper doing the trick shots, but is good to see the possible capabilities.

I do less YT now with this site available.  I hope to see more airgun vendors on this site coming up.  Thanks to all that provide this site for us to enjoy and learn from!  I'm not interested in the politics when I get some play time.

I subbed as soon as I found out about it. The only issue I have is audio won't stop even when I leave the site and I have to restart my phone. Giles said more features are coming and I hope he can keep the site going youtube is becoming very unfriendly for folks like us posting outdoors related content.

Well, I like him and his videos too (Slayer guy).  It would be great if all could play nice, but that's asking for too much these days.  Money has a tendency to muddy the waters, especially when not focused on loving thy neighbor.

Those Airgun101 weekly emails are really helpful and I like receiving them.  They don't let you forget that they exist.
