Quote from: avator on June 22, 2019, 04:55:17 PMJust to tie all this in somewhat.....I went in to work for a couple hours this morning to button up some things for month end closing and got back home around 8am. Betty Lou and I jumped in the Nitro, topped off the tank ($40) and headed down to the Bama/Florida boarder. We spent $20 on power ball and super lotto tickets and Betty Lou blew another $20 on scratch tickets. She won $20 then re upped and lost it all. On the way back we hit that awesome all you can eat catfish joint and ate $45. Before we got home we stopped and spent another $150 at the grocer for a few meals, beer and ice cream. Another $45 for smoking supplies (we roll our own smokes).Sure makes that $57 look like chump change. But again, we will get it back, sooner or later.Looking out at the rain and flood damaged and delayed crops around here, I wonder if I’ll recover the fuel costs or not thats good bill, i spent $4788 on fuel for the farm equipment today (bulk).that i will recoop at harvest time.....very costly hobby/investment right ....

On the plus side..... I ordered a couple lighted rocker switches. I robbed the one from my MKII to replace the one that smoked on my Vevor.... probably from using a 100' cord to power it. I need to get the MKII up on the bench and replace a bad high side seal during this next two weeks I have off work.
Hopefully someone better qualified than the one doing it now... Oh yeah... no politics.... my bad.And yes... two weeks. In the auto manufacturing industry we do 2 two week shutdowns per year for retooling or whatever. One in June/July and one in December/January. I've been there long enough to earn another 3 weeks per year on top of that.

There will be a good deal of voltage drop causing the current to ramp up and the starting or 'locked rotor' current will be sky high! The switch having to deal with all that current is probably marginally rated to begin with!I use as short and heavy gauge cord as I can find!BTW did anyone ever receive anything?
