I finally got around to getting my much needed haircut today. I had tried Monday and didn't have time Tuesday or Wednesday. 

 Now, I need to go through some bills and mail.   

Left the East Hill in '96 and it was heading down then. Lived in the SeaTac and Renton areas also. I think Dairyboy is up in that area.

Dillon (Dairyboy) is east of the mountains.  I want to say Tri-Cities area but I’m not positive on that. 

I graduated in ‘90.  Basically South Seattle demographic started being priced out and they had to go somewhere so Renton and Kent seems like the next logical place.  Some of those folks got tired of the hood activities and headed to the suburbs.  It’s just the way things work I guess.  I’m sure there are lots of other factors that I’m not aware of too.  I’ve been here since ‘80 and lived most of my life in the area since then.  I love the landscape here but I’m tired of the mess that Seattle and their ideals bring in.  I don’t align with WA politics in general either and that gap keeps getting wider and deeper.  I’m wearing the golden handcuffs so I’m sort of stuck here.  I have a great job and I stay isolated from the baloney as much as I can but it’s getting harder to stay shielded and neutral from it all as time goes on.

Scott did you post a pic of the stang awhile back? Seems like you did but my memory is fuzzy. Saw one restomodded yesterday and it looked good. Bronze with black wheels. Had a 347 under the hood that sounded nice.

Yea, that was a while ago. The pic was not mine, but one exactly like it. A "Poppy Red" (orange) notchback.

What interior color, engine and trans? Bet that's a fun ride. My car is too being quick, nimble n "perty" but it's not analog like yours with all the computer controlled garbage mine has on it. No true feel of the road as a result but with all the bad roads that's actually a plus. Yours screams pedigree but Hyundai not so much aka Korean Camaro. It was the cheapest way to get into a fun ride that's limited to 150mph until the computer is modified and I got a good deal on it. Drifts without even trying and sounds great too. If I could've found a resto modded 65 stang for the same price I'd jumped on it instead but none were in my area.

So far I’ve watched the electricians revising our household wiring.  I have electricity in the man cave!  I’ve been running on extension cords so this is a relief.  The cess pit lift pump has a dedicated breaker in the box now.  They are moving the 30 amp service for the dryer out on to the laundry porch right now.  When they are done we are demolishing the inside wall where the appliances had stood and enlarging our bedroom.  We’ll knock a hole for a door in another bedroom wall and finish part of the laundry porch as a walk-in closet.

So 150 mph isn't enough to get you put in jail? 😉 I think the fastest I've ever been on a motor vehicle is 155 mph on my CBR1100XX Honda 1 night on a back road. It still had more to go but I didn't have more back road to go.😂

Madd it's more than enough for me. I usually keep it under 100. That fast on a cycle is way different than in a cage. Never been that fast on a cycle. Exhilarating would be an understatement.

I'll tell ya, I was tucked way behind the fairing. It felt like if I didn't I'd get blown off the back of the bike. Stock the CBR1100XX was suppose to top out at 177 mph. I can't remember exactly but my sometimers brain seems to remember the thing would go 100 mph in first.

I raced boxstock and 750cc Supersport classes back in the nineties.  At Willow Springs as a matter of fact.  We used to say that if you weren’t doing at least 140 when you shut down for the chicane you weren’t competitive.

After the electricians left today I napped.  I decided there wasn’t enough time to get to town for the book sale so I might as well just kick back.

 Bought it for $600 and drove the snot out of it.. sold it for $300.

Took advantage of the weather window this morning. It hasn't rained in a few day which let things dry out some. Supposed to get rain for the next 2 days. So I got the zturn out and mowed here and at the barn.
That 23hp Kawasaki motor I put on it is running great.

Mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday and it still smells like onions outside. Too many wild onions growing in the yard.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass with a hint of onion.
Growing up we had wild mint in the yard... smelled like the whole neighborhood was chewing gum when the grass was cut.

I keep forgetting to post that a neighbor between a 1/4 and 3/8 of a mile from me has seen 2 mountain lions on their security cameras. 😳 I'm sure a couple of times they've had me in their sights but a person would not see them until it was to late. Luckily people hunt them around here so they have a fear of people. In commie it's outlawed to hunt them and there have been a few attacks.

Scott it's a wonder that didn't trash the Trans. All that happens when I put it in reverse on the highway is turn the bright reverse lights on. When my 5th gear solenoid would suddenly decide to engage on the highway it made a sound like that with a thud that felt like I was taking flak. It trashed the driveshaft. Changed the solenoid n replaced the filter along with the driveshaft and that solved it without having to buy a E module. $1K fix + parts.

Sam that's a rush level I will never know. Rode in the back of a suped up ninja 700 and got up to 90mph at the end of the culdasack. A wonder I didn't fall off the back.


Bill my Kawasaki has lasted 17yrs and going good so yours will too I'm sure.

Tater my grass smells like that too. Not good because it attracts hogs.

He let me take it for a jaunt.

Not much bigger of a rush on the roads than on a crotch rocket. It's a rush just watching their dash cam vids racing on the highways.
