I played manatee pinball.  I counted over fifty in the first mile and a half of the river.  Second tour I startled one that was grazing the pickerel weed along the banks and it went thrashing and churning out into the channel and directly under the boat.  Technically it hit me.  It hit one Ama soundly and the passengers got an appreciation of just how big and strong they are.  He bounced the fully laden 40' pontoon boat around briskly!  I ran the waterfront and piloted three boat tours today.  Same again tomorrow.

Headed out to one of the city spots by the water with my peeps for Aprils bday.  Now we are warming up with cinnamon rolls and coffee at the fancy supermarket before the drive home.

I fixed the 6500 generator, and loaded everything in the car, and other miscellaneous trip prep. I need to go buy a pair of snow chains for the car, just in case the Drive Weather App is wrong and we need them. 

 The wind is picking up, we have had a few gusts up to about 20mph (the power is still on  , Sushhhh! don't tell the power Company)

I'm still pretty sick and I haven't had the energy to spend any time studying the drone.   I'm no expert and I don't really know if there's a camera on it.

I looked at BPS offerings and I don't think that one has a camera. So I just think some poor kid lost his Christmas present.

Home safe now.  No ANTIFA protests in the city where we were today.  Mostly just some decent folks out enjoying the cool sunny day in Washington in January (rare).  Traffic was light both ways.
Dinner is nearly ready, we have a fire started in the woods stove and it supposed to get down to 25 tonight.

Went to the VA to be checked for any new skin cancer. They just froze off a couple of spots on the top of my ears and didn't find anything else.🎉
Then I went and seen my onincologest about the results of my pet scan and there wasn't anything.🎉🎉 Then I got the results of the blood test and both my kidneys and my liver results were not good.☹️ So now I can't take alieve or Tylenol for my chronic pain due to a bulging disc in my neck.😡😡

Good news on the PET.  Not so good about the kidneys and liver.  Have you looked into the disc replacement for,the neck?  A woman I know had hers done and it’s like she never had a problem.  Might be worth looking into if you haven’t or they haven’t offered it to you.  You may be better off to go outside the VA for that one.

36,000 without power in TX with temps down to 14. No telling on deaths yet including the homeless. So grateful for a home with heat!

Got a bunch of boxes in the mail yesterday. So much that I had to put them all in a 55ga garbage bag to haul them in. That's a first. Reminded me of presents on Christmas back in my youth but it's just things I need and not what I'd want though.

So far I’ve checked all our property for storm damage.  Some big limbs came down from the Loblolly Pines but nothing from the Long Leaf.  All the limbs fell in the yard and nothing was damaged.  Just debris clean up. The green house roof is sagging under the weight of accumulated sleet and all the live oaks are drooping from the ice.  I loaded the dogs up in our vintage SXS and went careening through the neighborhood with the dogs howling like the wild hunt in back. It’s a weird thing they do when I ride them in the SXS.  It was a bit chilly but I’m used to it.  I drive a SXS at work year round.  The neighbors came through better than we did.  Hardly a branch down on the rest of the street.

To provide an update: Our house and pet sitter regained power at the house at 5:27 PM yesterday, which should greatly facilitate her tasks. She successfully siphoned gas for the first time from my 1969 GMC using a clear siphon hose, from my 1969 GMC, following my instructions to maintain the operation of the generator. The clear siphon hose is particularly useful as it allows visibility of the gasoline flow, making it an excellent way to siphon without sucking gas.

Yesterday, I drove the remaining 653 miles from Tucumcari, NM to my son's residence in southern Missouri. We had clear dry roads all the way, the drive weather app worked great and we stayed N on I-40 to have better weather. That's kind of crazy to go north to avoid the snowstorms and ice. Interstate 40 is my preferred route anyway  though. We took I-10 to Phoenix and then up to I-40.

The weather is relatively cool, currently at 33 degrees Fahrenheit. The forecast predicts a high of 35 degrees today, 42 degrees tomorrow, and 50 degrees on Saturday. Saturday's my granddaughter’s wedding day, a warmer day will be nice!

The propane heater in our camping trailer is working great. Both tanks are full, and I'll monitor how long each lasts by noting when the first on runs out.

I got up really early so I could beat the traffic into the city.  I had a 0930 doctor's appointment.  I was prepared for agonizing hours of waiting but I got lucky and blew right through the place.  There is a creche somewhere that cranks out perky little blonde physician's assistants.  They're like clones.  I spoke to two today.  They were both so bright and cheerful and optimistic.  So I'll be having rotator cuff surgery again.  Right arm this time.  Luckily I'm left handed.  Last time I had to learn to wipe my butt with my right hand.  There was a learning curve.
