It was a busy day for Manatee.  I estimate that we saw two dozen during that trip.  I ain't kidding when I say that I dodged manatee all day.  We saw ten times as many gators But I couldn't get decent pictures of them.

Took a pic of this turkey this morning (not in season) and it charged my vehicle. I drove away and it chased me up the road. I did not have an AG so I could not declare self defense, LOL. Just joking around, I obey all laws.

I worked outside for about 4 hours and now I am tired, pretty sad that 4 hours tired me out today. I didn't sleep good last night though so, that is mostly why. I think I got a little dehydrated too, I did sip a little Propel but I am sure I didn't drink enough water yet today. I got about half of what I wanted to do done, I did have the secret squirrel take my mind off task a few times though.
 I think I am calling it a day early, and putting off the rest until another day.

 I have seen a lot of wild Turkeys (the birds ) between my place and Julian, from HWY 79.

I put new mulching blades and chute block off on the lawn tractor and ran out an almost full tank of gas just running through the areas that I am not going to pull the sweeper.


It got up to 77°F and is cooled down to 69.7°F on my back deck at 5:12 PM

I sat in the penalty box and annoyed the public.  I did my best.  I bent over backward to be generous and empathetic.  But the law of averages says you’re going to make someone unhappy if you play by the rules.   Most park visitors are fine but one in five wants me to bend the rules just for them just a little bit because everyone always has in the past.  You would not believe the scams I hear, the sob stories, the excuses why some slacker can’t pay $4 admission to the park.  At the end of a long week I really do not like petty, greedy, entitled people.

I totally believe you. I worked one summer+ at one of the two most heavily used CO state parks. The excuses reasons that people tried to con us with shall remain forever burned in memory.

And it has only been getting worse, and not only in parks!

People don't realize how much abuse a public service employee takes from the general public. I have had my fair share of it in the past and yes it has gotten worse in the last few years. It's a sad situation to say the least.
