Worked on the gate panel, the primer is on one side of it, will put another coat on tomorrow and then flip it to do the other side. Got the string mower going so some of the yard is cut for a minute.

Well.. I was going to get out early this morning and work in the yard before it got too hot and sweaty for this old guy but....
I decided to sample some of the latest batch of happy pie creek water yesterday (can't have bad stuff going out). I guess it was pretty good because I ended up sampling the whole jug (1 quart) and the effect is that all motivation has been removed this morning.

I feel like you Bill except mine was caused by push mowing the grass around the house. My motivational level is about zero and the painometer is off the scale. Scott the only "hair of the dog" I will be having is a 4" x 6" TENS pad strapped to my back and turned on wide open.

My condolences Kris.  I don't think my aches and pains are in the same league as yours.  I've got a sinus headache but it will pass.  No fire water until my head stops pounding though.

I chaperoned on the beach for a couple of hours before spending four hours in the ranger station working the gate.  Not my favorite shift on a holiday weekend.

I survived.

As soon as I can contemplate alcoholic potables I will be building a stout rum and coke.

Doing better this morning, thank you. I use mostly the 2" x 3" pads, then this seller popped up. Yeah, it's from china. It takes about 7 days to get here using speed pak shipping. I use one big pad and a smaller one for contact. The TENS machine I have has variable frequencies and intensities to choose from. Runs on a 9 volt battery. I use lith-ion rechargeable 9 volt batteries to run it. Got tired of the expensive alkaline batteries.

I got out at daylight this morning determined to get that front yard done... at least this phase where the plan was to get the layers of leaves and pin needles off that have built up over the past several years. We've got all the bushes puled or trimmed down and manageable. I still have some roots to chop out but the transformation is incredible. The biggest difference is now we can see snakes and other unwanted critters moving around if they do. Even on the cameras.
I had already dragged the first 2 loads out into the woods trail before Betty Lou came out. We dragged another 3 loads out and I gave the bonsai tree a haircut. I took it from around 8' around and out of shape down to around 4 - 5. Betty Lou was a bit disappointed because the dogs like to dig holes under it and lay in the cool sand. I prefer to be able to see what else is laying up under it.
The days are getting hotter earlier and work times between breaks are getting shorter. My chest and head get to pounding and it's time to sit for 10 minutes or so. Then when the sun gets straight up it's time to put the tools up for the day.
Some person in a past life thought it would be a good idea to sink a porcelain bathtub and make a fish pond out of it. My plan is to pull it out and fill in the hole.

Snake in the house...
While I was typing the last post Betty Lou went out to the screen porch that we closed in to get something out of the chest freezer. In some places there is a small gap between the deck boards and the house. I have plugged most of them by stuffing plastic shopping bags in them.
This guy apparently found his way in through a gap the was behind the freezer and climbed the post up to where the light switch is. Betty Lou spotted it before she reached for the switch and sounded the snake alarm.. 
Chicken snake about 2.5' long (rat snake). It dropped to the floor and back out the gap before I could get him. I stuffed the gap with bags and he won't be getting back in through there.
They do eat mice, lizards and spiders but I really don't need their help. I don't mind them feeding under the house but I don't want them in the house.
That one makes #2 I've seen so far this year. I saw one about 2 1/5 times that one's size Friday. He was out in the back and headed out through the fence. He scooted across the trail in front of my atv.
It's time to start strapping on the anti snake devices.

Changed the fuel filter in my husky 435 chain saw. I was cutting some 2 foot diameter logs with it a few days ago and couldn't keep it running after making a cut. Stopped using it cause got tired of having to start it every time I was going to do a cut. I'm hoping it fixes the problem.🤞🙏

Milly reminds me of the dirt faced hogs I shoot to prevent holes in my yard. I got an alert at 2am of one in my yard but when I walked out there in the dark with my thermal AR the wind picked up and he caught my scent and ran away before I could get a shot. At least I scared it away as soon as it got in the yard so no damage to fix.

I have a squirrel chewing one of the wood beams on my back patio so I need to kill that sucker. Tried this morning with the 12ga but missed because it shoots wide patterns and I don't have a choke for it yet. Should've used the .22LR with it's scope. I smeared on a layer of silicone over the wood to prevent any more damage and will setup a dinger to detect the bastage and sound off scaring it away. After picking up all the limbs I mowed my mother's place for the first time this year and it took forever since it looked more like a wildlife preserve than a yard. Nice to see it looking like a yard again. Blew off the patio and driveway where now her place looks good again.

Moved my Son and daughter-in-law from village ghetto land downtown Atlanta to Rural North Georgia in their first house at age 25.  Got to hold my grandson at the end as he had a fit when Momy returned the Uhaul and he had to take a bottle from me....A little grandpa magic and reheated mother's milk and he was out like a light.  Guess he wore himself out making clear his demands....lol

I drove a boat tour for a church group from Albany Ga.  I was the youngest person on board.  They laughed at all my jokes.  Yeah it’s official.  I’m a geezer.

Got up this morning and Win 7 on the laptop was jacked up. I tried to reinstall and I couldn't get drivers because it's no longer supported. So I decided to just put Linux back in.
I got about half way and Betty Lou wanted to make a store run and go out for breakfast.
When I got back, Sheriff West called and said his doc appt got cancelled and he was at his barn. So I loaded up a gun I was working on for him and some "happy pie" and headed to the barn.
I finally got back and got Linux up and running after several hours of updates. I still have several more to go but at least I got it running to get back online. Then I began putting all my links back into the Firefox browser... GTA, Google, Banking and Mail (so far). When I got to mail I saw an email from Crenshaw Co stating my tags for the truck needed renewed. So I got that done.
I think this go round I'll just leave the laptop for mail, browsing and GTA... I'll do the bill paying on the desktop.
I'll spend the rest of the day customizing Linux and leave airgun stuff for tomorrow.
