Resumed cleaning and organizing the shop.  It's amazing how fast it can become disorganized and I'm not even working on anything!  It just becomes a dumping ground for everything else.  I guess if I would simply put things back where they belong as soon as I am finished with it then it might stay organized longer?  Anyway, I'm glad that I even have a place and tools to work with organized or not.

Wait till you retire, you will find it a bigger mess than you thought. It's like where in the h3ll did all this stuff come from. I can't even get into my shop right now. I am in the process of reducing unused and unneeded things. It is stuff that I have accumulated over the years from employment and other things, now that I done with the employment, that mess can go.

Ideally I would like to build a new shop in a new location and tear down the old one.  There is two problems with that idea.... time and money 😄

I can move around and use mine, it's just a disaster.  It serves as a shop, general storage and extra kitchen item/food storage.  We are in and out of it constantly.  I built  a large cabinet to hold food.  We have a small chest freezer, refrigerator and a microwave oven out there too.  Our kitchen is small so the extras are stored out there. 

I have my woodworking tools out there.  I had it set up as a woodshop but somewhere I came up with the bright idea of making more of a modular space and took down my set up.  Now I realized that wasn't a better way of using the space.  Now using the tools is much more of a chore since the tools don't have a designated set up.  I have to usually clean up and rearrange to use any tools.  I'm going to change the layout again this coming year and set up dedicated places for the tools again.  I'll need to build a building to store lawn and outdoor equipment first.  Then I'll take over and expand the shop area into the storage that is already attached to the shop building.  Until then, the battle continues.....

That last bit is my next goal(s)…. I have a concrete pad 12’x20’ out front… I greatly desire a shop that size for all outdoor power equipment and related service equipment. I also shoot out of my present garage… I want a shooting shed for the 0-100 meter shooting range… then my garage will be just that- a garage, for cars and car stuff. 😜

Get the shops organized guys you'll feel so much better when it's done trust me. Jobs projects and repairs get done way faster that way knowing where all tools are when needed instead of wasting so much time looking for them while trying to get something fixed.

Drained the power steering fluid then took out the power steering reservoir and cleaned it since the car has almost 200k miles. Surprisingly the res had hardly any particles to clean out but I change the fluid every 30k miles too. Got the cleaned res installed then added new fluid. Now all the needed fluids have been changed on the ride where it's good to go and saved a good bit of cash doing it myself, plus saved potential damages knowing it was all done right.

Have to clean out the 210 gallon water tank to haul some water up. Down to 1200 gallons in our supply tanks and there's no way to get the 1000 gallon water trailer into town and back up to the house. It's been sitting for about a year and a half and has some yellowish red stuff in it. Probably from the iron in the water.

I finally got a round to putting the new thermostat housing, thermostat, and upper and low radiator hoses on my '69 GMC. I have been procrastinating and getting distracted.
 I am planning on doing the transmission mount and motor mounts tomorrow afternoon, since it is going to be a nice and warm 69°F 

 Today wasn't bad, pretty nice, but I think it only got up to 62°F

Freezing rain and then snow on tree branches pushed some of the branches down onto my driveway.  Wife doesn't like driving past them and having them rub her car so I went out and did some pruning.   33 degrees, cloudy, no precipitation so good weather for pruning.   While I was outside, I scooped up a lot of semi-frozen dog pooperinos from the lawn.   Simba gets very excited when he sniffs out one of his turds decomposing under the snow.   Then he digs it up and tries to eat it before we catch him and yell at him.   We've had classier dogs.

I always think of these things when I see a dipstick letting their dog lick them on the face, mouth and inside their mouths too. Eat sh** is supposed to be an insult not an invitation.
