California State Field Target Championship & AAFTA GP, Sept 13-15th Registration

We are pleased to announce that the California State Field Target Championship (an AAFTA GP Match) will be held this year at the San Luis Small Bore Association Range in Morro Bay, CA Sept 13-15th. The match will be hosted by the Sacramento Valley Field Target Club who is giving the CASA club a break from hosting the match this year. The SLOSA range is the home of the Morro Bay Airgunners and has hosted AAFTA GP matches for several years.

This facility is one of the best locations on the West Coast to hold a FT Match. The 2019 CA State Championship will be held on a brand new, never used course. Free grass camping, RV hookups, shower, most meals and practice area are all included in your registration fee. Come on out and enjoy one of the most fun matches in the West. Indeed "WE" have a lot of work ahead of us and hopeful some of our Nor Cal FT members offer a lending hand to pull this off.
Being we have 300 miles between the SVFTC membership base and Morro Bay, trips down there to prep & set up are going to be few ( 2-3 tops )

We all have ways to contact one another and will leave it at that .... until the San Luis small bore association has it's HUGE cowboy event and the outer fields get mowed ( There parking & RV areas ) we are in a holding pattern to do any lane prep & layout duties etc ...

I would suggest speaking with JIM C on what help, persons required etc is going to be required, as HE IS spearheading this event working with John Knapp of the CASA club who is relinquishing the hosting of the Cal State of years past.

This is going to be a great match. The Morro Bay range where the match is held is a wonderful facility. If you are a camper you can come to the match, set up your tent or camper and never have to leave the range until it's time to go home. All meals and beverages are included in your match fees (if you elect to purchase the Saturday dinner), great camping, showers, practice range and relaxing areas to enjoy shooting the breeze with your fellow competitors. If you've never been to an AAFTA GP match this is the one to attend. And just to add some icing on the cake if you're on your game you could win one of the neatest trophies in all of Field Target Land

If you ever wanted to shoot FT doing so with many of the countries best shooters ( certainly many of the west coasts best ) get on the list and come on out to Morro Bay for a couple days.  Great food, libations & what is to be an EPIC FT course with targets no one outside of the SVFTC has ever shot at.
