The good guys already did the dimensions, mikeyb and soupyyy, here are the images and text:

Rear fill probe O.D. (metal)= 0.312"
Dash-008 Buna 70A o-rings (may need the harder 90A)

Tip to first o-ring = 0.095"
Tip to air-hole = 0.188"
Tip to second o-ring = 0.280"
Tip to probe stop = 0.920"

Front pre-charge probe port O.D. (metal) = 0.266"
Dash-007 Buna 70A o-rings (may need the harder 90A)

Tip to first o-ring = 0.095"
Tip to air-hole = 0.188"
Tip to second o-ring = 0.280"
Tip to probe stop = 0.375"

Now off to make some deer meat fajitas!

Bill it seems like ATI would be selling probes for these guns, I can do without but sure would be handy to have just in case the pump in it failed.  I must admit mine seems to be working great so far though.

Wayne... I hear ya... I wish they would just do away with probes. Just make all airguns foster fill fittings. A probe is just something else for me to misplace or lose. I'm extra cautious with this probe, knowing I can't just order another. Which is exactly what motivated to pick this up at Harbor Freight last week. Each gun has a dedicated tray.

Just a thought... Does PA sell spare probes for the AV Seneca Aspen? Same gun, right?

Just had a chat session with Cesar on the PA website. he said that PA does not list the Seneca Aspen probe on the website but I could contact them to see if it's a special order item.

Ok, got the silicone in last week, made a probe today, and now can actually go do some serious pellet testing.   Maybe I will find some inaccurate pellets, Bill.  May be able to do it this afternoon.  Thanks to soupyyy and mikeyb for the probe diagrams and measurements.

Brett,  I received my probe yesterday from Soupyy.  It was $20 delivered with 3 extra o-rings.  Just got a chance to try it and it works perfectly.  He shipped it out same day too.  i highly recommend you PM him.

Ok, I have a problem on my 177 and need advice. The gun pumps up fine, its cocks fine, but when I fire it there's not enough pressure to move the pellet. Barrel is free of obstruction. The only thing I can see is how far out of the breech the probe is when cocked. Is this the normal position?

Yep I agree. Probably the pellet is not seated all the way and is sitting over the transfer port.

Here I put a black in mark on the probe to mark how far into the breech the O rings go. The black mark is even with the breech when seated home. It is just a tick over 1mm.

Getting a fill probe should be the least of our worry because many of us with a mini lathe can make one easily.  If you have a lathe please consider making a few probe to sell to our GTA members.  I think looking for replacement o-ring may be more challenging for many of us down the road.  I could not find many of the metric o-ring on theoringstore.com for the Liberty or Freedom.  Here is an example of a bad o-ring on the Freedom air chamber tube.  I could not fill the air at all.  Does anyone know where I can get these metric o-rings?  Also, what is the standard procedure when writing out measurement for metric o-ring?  Cross section is usually clear but the second number is outside diameter or inside diameter?

Did the barrel slip forward? That would cause the probe not seating the pellet deep enough and could also cover the transfer port.

Did the barrel slip forward? That would cause the probe not seating the pellet deep enough and could also cover the transfer port.

That's a really good point! Most likely cause. Cant tell from his picture but the breech end of the barrel should protrude about 1mm. It's also possible the barrel got rotated somehow.

Take the grub screws all the way out that hold the barrel and look down the grub screw holes with a flash light. Twist the barrel back and forth and you should see three detents in the barrel line up with the holes.

Try calling PA and ask for Gene Salvino in the service department. I have gotten parts that they do not have on their website from him before.

Let me take some measurement and see if I can make a working one.  I will post the measurement once I confirm it is working so other can make and sell them too.
