Thanks Stephen, I've been waiting to see how differently your modded Liberty would perform.   From my perspective, it looks like you're getting better performance from the heavier pellets and about the same from the lighter pellets?  Would you say that you're seeing fewer fliers now?  What do you think?

Just for comparison, this is my best 50 yard group from a few days ago (also pretty windy).

I think it is preforming a little better but the true test will come when I can shoot without wind or indoors. My thinking is 1/2" @ 50 yards and 1 1/2 at 100 yards. I'm trying to find a place to shoot 100 yards indoors but no luck yet.

I cant wait to see your groups on a calm day as well.

If Fuzzys finding of the barrel being unchoked is true. You can shoot slugs and that would buck better against wind.

I found the link on Hard Air Magazine's website so I would assume it's still valid.  I tried it on the Freedom and it didn't work so maybe only on the Liberty?

OK... Here's the Plan...    I've sorta tried this with what I had in the shop this past weekend, but just went to home depot and picked up supplies.   Take a look at the pic...the "shank" of the u-bolt fits the hole where the power adjuster went.  However, it's just a tad loose.  So, I'm gonna cut the threads to the left of the nut.  Then I'm gonna cut the 'shank" just inside the recessed lip inside the right side of the receiver.  If you look inside, it's slightly recessed where the original rubber 'type' washer went that the little screw went into.  Then I'm gonna tap the shank on the right side using a 6-32 drill and tap from home depot $5.   I found that the handle to a standard X-acto knife fits pretty well into the recess on the right side !  So, I'm gonna cut a section off of the handle end of the xacto knife, drill a hole in it, and use it as a spacer.. then screw a 6-32 screw through it and into the u-bolt shank that I tapped.   Of course, I'll have to drill a 3/16" hole in the shank.... which I've done on the one i have at home.. and it worked pretty well.   Then, I'll have to slot the nut to fit where the 'NUB' is on the left side of the receiver.

It's crude and it aint pretty, but I think it'll work.

Sorry.  I'll try to contact Hard Air Mag and ask them to pull the ad.

This is 2019, I think.
Maybe the ATI store site hasn't activated it yet.
I loaded a .177 Caliber wood stock Liberty into my cart and navigated all the way to final payment screen where the code can be entered, when I applied the code it was reported as invalid.

BTW: It is 2019, I think.  I'm still working on getting out of 1991 so sometimes I get lost. :)

It was one of the questions I was asking to see if I had any early signs of mental regress.
I guessed right!
Glad they didn't ask me what year was my wife birthday  :o
