I was just reading through the owners manual. What is with the "back off the cap 1/8 turn, only, to release the gas in the tube"? Page two of the attachment.
gracious I sold my,good shooting 85% Cr 400 last summer for less than half that. Just goes to show that worth is a tricky slippery thing.

I paid $93.00 shipped for mine in 2017 but then I would have gladly paid for shipping to avoid the butt plate being broken when I got it. The seller refunded $35 dollars (if I remember right) for his bad packaging and the damage it caused. I was able to repair it pretty well but it still bothers me that it was broken just because it was not handled/packed with care. But I know I still did great getting it in working order and with the magazine. Hopefully his refunding the $ for damage has and will prevent such careless packaging on any others he has sold or sells in the future.
Try precision pellet in Pa. I had Rick reseal my 400 and he put a new safety and mag tube on it. I have used him for several virgin purchases and repairs.
