Testing new made .22 bullets for new barrel with barrel twist 1-9.  So far it looks like they could approach ballistic coefficient to 0.3  .

For comparison is in the photo also JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.1 grain.

You have my attention, those look superb.

Those weigh what, about 70-75 grains?.... What velocity are you driving them at?.... They look great !!!

rsterne : 61 grain  Currently 220 ms, but I would like to get them at least at 260 ms, preferably at 290ms.  I already have a plan for 250ms power, and I will see how much more power it will be able to achieve. In general, however, the air consumption was already very high.

 I do this thinx in my "free time" otherwise we are fully working on M24 and  bullets for standard airgun barell.

The use of these for long range shooting (400-500m) is currently inappropriate, because they have low speed. On the other hand, for shorter distances, BC should greatly help in shooting in the wind and slowly get into the value of smaller caliber firearms.

Looks like from that video the bullet started out with a lot of yaw, but then straightened out?

How did you get such a light bullet that is 4 times the caliber in length?.... Is it lead, or an alloy?....

260 m/s is about 100 FPE, and that is reachable in .22 cal at 3000 psi.... Reaching 290 m/s (122 FPE) will be a lot harder, more pressure and a longer barrel being the easiest route.... Your gyroscopic stability will decrease as you increase the velocity, of course....

You not only have my attention, you'll have my $$, as this is the pcp rifle that invades my dreams at night.

100fpe is doable with around 450-500mm barrell and 200bar on .223 you just need a good valve and porting.

Yes it's something I have done, along with 60% of the lofty goal.
Current trend with barrel size porting and wasted space idea is kind of wrong kind of thinking when you seriously want power.

Mind you I could care less about air consumption when in search for power.

No idea what this means but if Marko can do it I can do it with or without and Oracle.... Pretty lofty goal to hit 100fpe at 2900psi from a barrel under 20 inches. in .22 cal Im going to have to give it a go Ive seriously have never tried.

Great looking bullet. Although a little on the long side for most Airguns to be able to load .
Now if I read between the lines , Marko is saying having a big volume of air after the valve and porting much bigger than the barrel port will make big power. Not big efficiency. One of make sense in my mind to have the pressurized air start to expand behind the projectile before it even starts to move in the bore . I believe air expansion would be faster than air traveling down a path if that makes any sense .
I’ve got a 223 barrel and the perfect rifle to test this out on . Even the name of the rifle sounds powerful “Windy City”

I think it's a 90% focus problem. I have seen something similar with classic pellets and smaller bullets before and when I put parallax at 50m, I could see a steady flight.
As I have the opportunity I try make a video but focus on the beginning of the flight.
It is a standard alloy (practically lead) as used for pellets. The length is only 3.7 times the diameter.

I'd rather write it again. This is an experimental matter. Priority is given to the classic M24 airgun with the classic LW barrel for pellets and bullets a produciton bullets.
When this projects was fully completed, there will be space to complete the rifle intended only for bullets.

Still though it seems very heavy for an Air rifle.  Seems there has to be a way for them to weigh a lot less.  I know they would end up being much shorter, but still.

At any rate, super impressive I must say.

Nice demonstration.... It appears you were right, and the focus was the problem.... Now all you need is a 120 FPE rifle in .22 cal to really take advantage of them.... Not an impossible task, it just takes more barrel length and/or pressure.... My latest .224 cal will shoot 61 gr. bullets at 1000 fps at 3800 psi from a 28" barrel with a 9" twist.... and detuned to 960 fps it has good efficiency.... so it can be done....

I'm adding one new video that was made mostly accidentally when testing a new type of target.  This type of target I plan to use in the future, because in our more advantage over traditional target.  It will be especially useful when switching to distances of 1km and beyond

yes you are right about those performances. With too high power requirements, air consumption is already quite unbalanced

So far I have 275ms with the above 4g bullets and I probably won't go above because the negatives outweigh the positives.
I haven't gotten to the shooting tests yet, so it can see what this combination can achieve.

I would like 1g (18grain) bullets, I do not want heavy bullets, but unfortunately I do not know how at this weight to get to BC so high, without that bullets was not long and therefore heavy.
BC and the best consistency of the muzzle velocity is the alpha and omega for accurate long range shooting for Airgun.
