I have auto shut-off on my YH and don't ever use it because I really don't trust it! The auto shut-off gauge on my YH reads anywhere from 500 - 1000 psi off from the gauge of what I'm filling, so I choose to trust the gauge on what I'm filling more than I do the gauge on the compressor.

Depending upon the difference in price, I may forgo the auto shut-off on my next compressor. Hopefully, it will work much better on the Xisico compressor than it does on my YH compressor!

My YH also the gauge on the compressor is typically higher than the object being filled. But it is pretty fast to fill so I dont mind baby sitting it for a few minutes. Get to keep an eye on the temperature as well.

Now this new compressor might not be as 'fast' as the YH I have heard of folks filling bottles with other compressors taking 20 to 40 minutes to fill them. In that case an auto shut off would be handy.

True and this one will apparently run all day and not overheat, so no real need to babysit it. I just hope the gauge and shut-off mechanism are accurate! My YH gauge reads way high also, so I don't worry so much about it overfilling and damaging an air rifle, but if I have to come back and restart it from zero to top it off after it shuts off, then I may as well just manually shut it off myself once I fill an air rifle to where I want it.

With 12 - 15 seconds fill time on guns with my Vevor, I never take my finger off of the on/off switch. I AM the auto shutoff.

so there is much more difference than buttons and switches.
hopefully there night and day difference, i know someone that has been thru 2 trail chargers in 3 months and finally got his money back. he mostly fills guns direct but does occasionally fill a small bottle to 3600psi.

any updates on the xisico since last one ?

my guess is we are waiting on JSAR's okay and/or we are waiting until september guessing by the HAWK release date and what hints i have ben given

Unfortunately, my addictive personality won't let me wait for things to come to market after being announced...
I want what I want and I want it NOW. So I usually settle for substitution. Nothing worse than waiting at the dock for the slow boat from China.

I'm still interested in these compressors, from the original description of them I think they could be really nice but time will tell for sure.

Me too, Wayne! My YH is still plugging away just fine, but these are pretty much disposable and will eventually fail, even with proper maintenance. I'm hoping this new offering will be much quieter and I'm thrilled I won't need a bucket of water to use it!

Ripped into my busted AirMax Extreme MKII compressor this morning. I think I have located the problem and placed an order for, what I think, is a replacement part. The part is for the AV compressor but I think it's the same part. It's worth $20 for me to find out. If that is, in fact, the right part, the repair should be easy peasy..... yeah right, like anything is really easy peasy.

here on the farm, our definition of easy-peasy is a repair job not taking over
8hrs to complete.

Not so easy peasy... I'm struggling to get top jug over those four seals. I had to take a break so I don't 86 the whole thing. I don't have the patients I once had. Maybe that's why I enjoy shooting stuff so much.

silicone oil & tin foil is your friend......i have rebuilt many hydraulic pumps
and fuel pumps with them helpers

I'm more of a finesse kinda guys... I went with needle nose pliers and a rubber mallet.

It's on there... now just wait for the replacement disc to arrive. Then cross my fingers for it to work.
