Sounds like we need....
« on: January 23, 2019, 10:24:48 PM »
A guy for Hatsan like Mike at Flying Dragon is with Xsisco....just saying.

After dealing with s few shortcomings with my new Hatsan Dominator 200s carbine. And reading the plethora of Hatsan bad experiences over the Net.

I keep seeing post like this, I guess I have been lucky. I have bought two Hatsans. My AT44-10 and my Proxima. Both have been great. I have one opportunity to deal with Hatasn USA over a seal issue on my PCP's air tube. Hatsan USA responded promptly and took care of my issue. I've had no problem with Hatsan at all.

I have seven Hatsans, a Tommy and VMX and two old Winchesters made by hatsan, all .177, and had a .22 100 Torpedo and a .22 155 with no problems to speak of.

I have something like 23 between Hattys and Turkish built Webleys and the only problems I've ever had were caused by me tinkering.

I know one problem that many have had, but I feel it is a misunderstood.

Any time you have a problem with a Hatsan, take the time to fill out the form !!! Don't just get on the phone or bombard them with e mails.

That is the way to do it.  If you just want to complain, well you can do that here or send nasty e-mails.  If you want the issue resolved, fill out the form! 8)

Exactly, and they aren't alone in their customer service quirks. Look at Crosman, which has without a doubt the best customer service you're likely to find, super low parts pricing and they'll sell you anything you want.... as long as you have the part numbers for what you want ready when you call to order things because they won't look them up for you.

You'll spend an hour or maybe more finding those numbers, spend 10 minutes filling out Hatsan's form :)

Ya got me beat Steve, I only have 17. The few issues I've had have been resolved in a reasonable time using the online form. Most of mine were bought at deep discounts or as refurbs and in general, they offer good value for what you get vs the cost. I rank them somewhere between the cheap Chinese and Gamo stuff and the much more expensive German guns. The Quatro triggers can be improved with a 25 cent screw, and the overall build quality is good considering the cost.

I bought 4 refurb edge springers in .177 about a year ago for thirty-some-odd bucks apiece, and gave them to my brothers as Christmas presents. They were ok... one was pretty nice, two were less so, and one was pretty bad. The bad one had a super tight breech and a raggedy breech-seal. It actually required a probe to fully seat cphp pellets into the barrel! But they all fired, they all functioned and they all cost under $40! Overall I was more than pleased. These are serious rifles (not toys) with quality construction, despite being a bit rough around the edges. And I actually won a shooting competition with my brothers using the 'bad' one with the tight breech.

On Tuesday I got my second delivery from the HatsanUSA refurb department... a .22 cal 135QE. That gun was nice out of the box, and fantastic with only some mild trigger-tuning. Almost all my guns are refurbs, mostly from Crosman, and I would rate Hatsan only a little lower in quality control. This is just my personal, and limited, experience, but I am a happy camper.
