That is sweet, what barrels will it fit? I would be guessing Mrods for sure, what about Prods? So can we order by barrel OD and length for the kit?

Randy,

You'll need to have the front of the barrel threaded for it to work. But I'm assuming the others questions would be yes. I inquired awhile ago about it being done on a build but the build ended up not working as I'd hoped so never did get it done.

But man it's about time! I think all airguns should have tensioned barrels. I am done with guns changing POI!

What anchors the barrel at the receiver end to transfer the loads from the shroud and barrel to the receiver?.... Are you adding more setscrews, threads, or just relying on the two stock ones in an MRod receiver?....

Imparting tension on the barrel will increase stiffness, improving accuracy. Place a sleeve over the barrel, secure at both ends, then impart compression on the sleeve (via fine threaded collar), which imparts tension on the barrel.
