Things to avoid on Air Speed/Air Max
« on: January 16, 2019, 08:11:15 PM »
1. Do not shoot below 100 BAR
2. Shoot only recommended ammo
3. Break it in for at least 2 tins of pellets before any adjustments are made.
4. Do not lube with any grease or powders only thin oils.
5. When shooting in extreme colds the gun can act up and miss fire contact JSAR if you plan on shooting in extreme colds.
6. Do not modify gun the system is very balanced and any modifications can cause poor performance if done improperly.
7. Full dump shots can occur if you shoot below recommended pressures or double load the barrel or have a malfunctioning magazine.
8. Full auto(hammer bounce) can occur if you double load barrel or shoot below recommended pressure or shoot in very cold conditions.
9. Putting heavier hammer springs in will raise valve low limit above 100 Bar and can cause dump shot.
10. Any questions you may have please contact JSAR ask for Travis.

;) ;D Travis , we are all learning the ins and outs of this platform and as our collective knowledge base grows so will the opportunity for simple and not so simple improvements. I have had almost as much fun discussing the Air Speed with you as shooting it. Even when I go to man cave with no intention of shooting it the Air Speed ends up on the bench for a couple magazines worth of love. Last night I discovered that the Benjamin .25 pellets in the 200 count tin work well at 10 yards and today I will empty a few mags of them into a 25 yard target to see if the single ragged hole stays 1/2 dollar size or smaller

Any advice on the 0.30cal Air Max?

I ordered a ton of heavier weight 0.30cal slug ammo, is that going to cause unintended full auto like you mentioned double pellets can cause?

Still waiting on some heavier pellets. I notice about a 2mm gap from the end of the pellet probe and the mag.
I'm getting pellets being kicked back into the gap to the front of the pellet probe. No accuracy it's all over the place.

If you using 14gr pellet that's the problem, if you using 18gr do you seat them past the O-ring ?

I'm shooting a .177 and shooting jsb13.4 I've seated them the semi auto action unseats the next pellet. Does the same with NSA 15.5/18/21

Just knocking a theory around in my oldtimers head. I was wondering if there is some back pressure left in the barrel, after firing, that might be blowing the next seated pellet out of the chamber. I might try removing the air stripper just for giggles. Just a thought, that's all. :o

Sounds like a magazine issue to me ive shot the 177 all day and had no problems with any pellets. Is the spring holding the pellets in place? Have you tried both mags?

I agree it's a mag issue. But i have other issues with it besides the mag thing. I'm requesting to return it.
