It has nothing to do with IL. Merchants are now required to charge tax on internet sales.

The provided link has to do with Income Tax, not sales tax.

On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court changed the rules for collection of sales tax by Internet-based retailers. The Court stated that individual states can require online sellers to collect state sales tax on their sales.

You guys realize this is a small tank, right?  It's 90 cu.in. or less than 15 cu.ft.  $276 for such little air volume doesn't make sense to me when you can get an 88cu.ft tank - 6 times more air volume for just twice as much.  Or a used 66 or 88 cu.ft tank a few years old for the same price as the little Benji tank.

A smaller tank is more portable. I have two 4500psi, 88 cu ft tanks & a 4500psi, 14cu ft Airhog tank. I can refill a 3000psi PCP 5-7 times depending on the rifle with the Airhog. And I can even top off the Airhog from the 88s.
The smaller tank is handy to have. Such as if you're out hunting & don't need a lot of air, but it's good to have just in case. It's light & can fit into a backpack.

As Mike, Dave and Jeff  ;) said the small size is nice sometimes. Now that I have said that I probably wouldn't recommend it for anyone that doesn't have there own compressor or a large tank also.

Oh I know it's convenient and easy to carry in the field or range.  I have always wanted one, but it's the price I am not crazy about.  If it were $199 I would jump on it.  It's psychological I guess.

For me the bottle has been worth it- think I paid around the same price when they had a $30 rebate last year.
I co-own an Air Venturi compressor and we don’t have the ability to shoot outside of our houses due to local ordinances.  So we must travel up to an hour away to shoot outside.  The bottle is able to far extend our shooting sessions without the need to bring a hand pump.  The compressor co-owner (also has one of these bottles) has a Benjamin bulldog, and without the bottle wouldn’t be able to shoot it as much as he does.  So the bottle is certainly makes sense for our situation.  It may not be for everyone.

I got mine for $249.00 including shipping. I like it a lot but I have an Air Venturi compressor an shoot where I live so the size of it  is not a problem for me.

Well for now I carry a 44cu.ft 4500psi tank to the range.  I never had a problem with its weight or maneuverability.  I would probably not take my 66 or 88 cu.ft tanks, but the 44cf is not bad a couple of times a year.  I only take the Condors to the range to shoot beyond 50 yards.  I shoot mostly on my property.
