Pump for Hasten QE135
« on: January 09, 2019, 03:45:15 PM »
Been looking at pumps to fill gas ram on Hatsan QE135 Vortex. Quite a spread on price! Do I need to buy a Hatsan brand or will any
pump work? I assume I will need a special adaptor for that rifle and I can't find one any where, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks, Dave

The $35 walmart pump is fine. You will need a real Hatsan fill probe and the threaded to male pump adapter.

I'm interested in this as well, but I'm not familiar with the $35 walmart pump. Could someone in the know please provide the parts list required to fill/adjust the gas ram? Thanks so much and I apologize in advance for my ignorance!

I purchased these items off ebay and Amazon to filter & fill air into my Hatsan BullBoss and Vortex air springs.

Prices fluctuate and overseas shipping can be LONG and risky. Not endorsing these sellers, just using the products and prices as examples of what can do the job.

I have filled my Hatsan 135 vortex with a Chinese hand pump, I have several of the pcp fill probes.
The last time I filled it to 130-140 BAR, I suspect the gas ram has leaked a little.
But for now I will not tear into it. My 155 torpedo is still in pieces after 2 years.

That 155 in pieces makes me sad :(  Mine is an unmodified factory refurb 22 shooting 30+fpe and is LASER accurate at 30'. Repeatedly sends pellets through the same ragged 1/4" hole using open sights. I'm patiently waiting for warmer weather when I can get out, scope it, and drill some stuff at 30 - 50 yards.

I had the best of intentions, I have polished the compression tube and piston. I have a brand new seal and spring for it. But the Quattro trigger has confounded me. It is a very sad thing.

My rule of thumb with the Quattro trigger is to not take it apart and to not let it fall apart.
It is a bugger to reassemble.

There is a trick to removing it from the rifle though. You use a short pin as a temporary stopper to hold it together when removing and installing the trigger assembly. Its hard to describe but its easy to understand when you see it done. Sorry I don't have a link on hand to copy and paste for you ; however, there is a youtube video from Brazil about the Hatsan Dominator. Its in Portuguese but the guy demonstrates the use of the pin for removing and installing the trigger. That's the trick. You'll need to make the pin yourself. I cut a fat nail that was the right diameter. It don't need to be special; its just a temporary place holder while removing and installing the trigger.

Do a search on u-Tube for Mike Ellingsworth.  He has a detail Quattro trigger video.  Also, if you want to have a reduced trigger pressure "feel", pull the trigger with a 30 degree upward sweep.  I find it easy to have your trigger finger follow the contour of the trigger guard when doing this.  This will make a 5lbs trigger feel like a 3lbs trigger pull weight.

Thanks for the parts list mikey... I already have a couple crosman pumps, so I just put an order in for the fill probe. I have no intention of messing with it right now, but I read some reports of the vortex piston loosing pressure after a year or so and I want to be ready just in case.
