Would be one thing to announce the creation and be available come spring....if they got it together by mid-winter, would be thrilled that it got together early.


Another thing to put out a "teaser" early, then a long long wait until it became availiable.



In the first situation, they are being honest...in the second, it's using the "airgun nuts' as test-marketing.


So as I see it (calling it the way I see it)….if it's a worth the advanced announcement, it has to be worth the wait....and  will stand the test of time, and I'll pick one up later rather than sooner.  If it doesn't last until "later", then it didn't really deserve the pre-hype.

Once again I never stated when it would be available but it has been done for awhile now and nothing is going to change were just working out production numbers and getting our vendors together. Im a little bit upset your taking this road but hey its your opinion so it is what it is. Your wording makes it sound like im doing something out of the norm and unscrupulous, My opinion.

I believe some members, I will count myself as one, are just plain weary of pronounces, teases, pre-orders, and the like.   It gives one a jaded edge to the proclamations regardless of good intentions.

I understand that but im not taking pre-orders nor did I even state I would Nor did I state delivery times or anything regarding a time frame or accepting any moneys and its only been 4 weeks since I mentioned it! not sure how any of this other than Ribbonstones comment got started.

Thank you other Travis LOl. The only reason I even said anything was because several of my customers were talking about getting a entry level gun and Im close to getting it out there now Imagine your one of my customers and you buy said entry level gun and soon afterwards i release our gun thats substantially better and at near the same price. This is what i would here "Why didnt you tell me Travis I would have waited!" Now I have a upset customer with and inferior gun. So I let them know its probably worth the wait and If they dont want to wait at least they have the option. PS Travis Happy Holidays and give me a jingle sometimes its been awhile.

Man, tough crowd. I can't help but wonder if it's some hate carried over from FX style marketing  like when they pushed their slug liners before they even had them working? There does seem to be alot of show and wait in this sport but I'm sure it's because it's advancing all the time. Especially with guys like Oldpro on the scene always trying to take us to the next level.

Have no dog in this fight but am amazed at the number of negative nellys on GTA. Sounds like a lot of people pre-ordered an extremely high dollar product with a substantial down payment and are upset it's not on schedule.  Four weeks?  I know gunsmiths with backlogs measured in doudle digits months and you have to give them money in advance. 

I'm interested in seeing the product when you get it on the market..

If Travis says it will be worthwhile, that's what it will be.  That's been my experience anyway.  One thing about worthwhile, it usually doesn't happen overnight.  Regards, Tom

A vague history lesson a couple years back there was a small start up that we supported who kept pushing delivery dates for prepaid custom pumpers with custom quality stocks and mostly semi custom internals. The rifle as delivered was not capable of meeting expectations and cost was high. However one month from conception to testing for a new product is not excessive. Patience is something we all need to practice, we also need to slow down on the negativity.
