Started making this AR style stock for a phase 1 766.
The receiver is blank with no stenciling or stampings except the s/n.
This gun will incorporate MFT (Magnum Force Technology).
Poplar wood stained ebony with a seal coat.
The stock so far:

That looks great. Do you have a photo of the part of the stock where it goes into the receiver? I'd like to see some detail on how it is attached.

The connection is made from 1" square brass tube.
Similar to this one made for a 2100 and a prototype aluminum version for a 766.
The brackets seem to be different for each phase of the gun.
Heavy bolts anchored deep hold it together.

That looks great. I like it. Is that a Tru-Oil finish?

The finish:
Watco Danish oil, let dry 72 hours.
3 coats wipe on poly, light sanding.
2 light spray coats satin Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane.
I make the wipe on poly with a 10 second spray of the Spar Urethane thinned 50% in a cup.
Apply it with folded cheesecloth.
Have not tried Tru-Oil.
