With everything ive added to my 1377, the only "must have" mod is to change the pump arm pivot pin to something more solid. Everything else is for "what you want". My 1377 ive ben contemplating about putting the oem plastic breech back on.

So far so good with my micro arsenal, dont plan on any new airguns anytime soon*

Crosman Fire NP .177, great break barrel. Hard to sight in.

Crosman 1377 .177 custom valve. Great for possums within 40ft.

Crosman 2240 modded to .177 and HPA/hipac. Still testing/adjusting.

Umarex Trevox .177 that is "no muy bueno para nada" besides kids of age playing with it.

Thanks for all help yal, its appreciated, I love you

Is this something you notice going bad over a period of time... or is this something that's not right out of the package?

Any thoughts on 'must have mods' to begin with... trigger mods, sights, etc???

are you kidding? enter that on your google box and watch your PC slow down to a crawl... lol. Its a disease...

You're making me nervous with that statement... I have a real bad tendency to go overboard.  Not sure I'm ready to go down the rabbit hole just yet!!!

Maybe I should just stick with the bone stock for the time being...

Depending on the batch QC, its can be right out the box. But both, the oem roll pin wears/knocks out eventually over time and shoud be replaced with a better pin. This "upgrade" is essential.

Hes just being realistic. The rabbit hole does go deep, deep as your wants/expectations(to a point).  This being one of a "lego" airgun collection,  there is alot of things to mod/change.

The stock one tends to work its way out and you have to frequently be pressing it back in.  I replaced the one in my first 1322 with a pin from the Home Depot that fit perfectly, for a few dollars.  I don't remember exactly how much.

There are lots of popular things to do with it to make it more powerful, more accurate, more flashy and personalized, and quiet!  People put hundreds of dollars into it.  I'm partway into that club myself.  Skeeeets' term "Lego gun" is a good one.  The Crosman Custom Shop is only the tip of the iceberg, and there are plenty of third-party suppliers of improved valves, beautiful wood stock and forearm, and lots of other things.  Check out for example Alchemy Air Werks .  David Grimes there is a very nice man to work with.

If you havent tried RWS pellets in a while give them a try.

Mine is a much-used first variant from the 70's and still has the original roll pin.   I suggest you shoot it for a while before making a bunch of changes.  It may be just fine as it came, but after a box of pellets, you may decide there's a mod or two that makes sense for you.  I put a steel breech and Lyman rear sight on my first one.  I'm leaving my current one stock.

If you plan on modding, driving out the roll pin over and over can be a pain. I bought one of these from Alchemy to replace the roll pin. Life is much easier. LINK

Some simple, almost no cost mods I made to my stock 1322:

Clean up the trigger and sear to get rid of stamped metal roughness. Put in a lighter trigger spring (hardware store item), and if you want make a guide for the top of the spring. Result should be a smoother trigger at whatever pull you choose (mine is about 1.5-2 lbs). Plenty of How-To posts on this site. Here is Jason's great write up https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=138633

I made a new rear sight blade with a narrower notch (a dremel works for this).

I wrapped the grip with tennis racquet overgrip (Walmart) to get rid of the slippery plastic feel.

Enjoy your 1322

Has 2 ebay stores AND the mein website ;) alchemy and needfullthings. Best part is they both have same items (some are bundles usually from one seller) and have different prices for the same item. Always check both "sellers" on prices for thier item before purchase and get the cheapest one.  He is a great man and very nice with buisness.

I had to press my roll pin back in several times in the first 150 pellets.  Clearly some aren't staying in as well as others.
