How many shots from a .22 with a 300bar fill on high? I read the whole thread and didn't see this info.
We better stop talking up these guns or their going to raise the price. Ha Ha
How many shots from a .22 with a 300bar fill on high? I read the whole thread and didn't see this info. With a 4k fill and a .100 hammer spring washer I shot over fourty for sure, maybe over fifty. I chronoed different pellets without keeping specific count.
I will have to make a decision after the chrony test if I want to shim the hammer spring or just leave things alone, looking for at least 30 FPE but more would be fine too.
Here are a few more observations I've made as I've tinkered with the rifle, the first is the weight. I was attracted to this rifle for several reasons one of which was the 3-kilogram weight, that's 6.49 lbs as I understand it. My home scale won't register with just the rifles weight so I weighed myself with and without the rifle and then subtracted the weight of the scope, that put the rifle at 8.2 lbs, that's not a few ounce discrepancy. I've had the stock off the action and for a wood stock, it's not very heavy so the extra mass has to be from the action itself. I also don't care for the location of the safety, I didn't think it would bother me but I guess I'm so used to the ease of my Marauder's safety being right in front of the trigger that it makes this new one seem cumbersome. I did get a chance this morning to put a few shots down range, after filling the rifle to 4000 psi for some reason which I can't explain the rifle scattered the first four shots, then settled in and began stacking the next 16 through one hole I could have covered with a dime at 35 yards. There was just enough light when I got home tonight to try a mag each of H&N Barracuda match 21.14's and a mag of CPD's, the Barracudas grouped pretty well but the CPD's opened up with only about three shots in ten hitting almost on top each other. It's just odd how several will group together then the rest spray around the others. Am off work tomorrow and supposed to get sunshine so will be breaking out the chrony to crunch some numbers and test a few other pellets I have on hand. After watching youtube videos on this rifle I wish I had some JSB 15.89's to try or the AA 16 grain. I will have to make a decision after the chrony test if I want to shim the hammer spring or just leave things alone, looking for at least 30 FPE but more would be fine too.
I went back over my notes. With a .100 hammer spring shim, a 4k start, JSB 14.35 averaged 986, right at 31 ft lbs.JSB 15.89 averaged 946 for 31.6 ft lbsJSB 18.13 averaged 909 for 33.3As a side note, with a .040 shim the velocities were 950, 915 and 868 respectively.Going to try a .150 shim but it might already be bottoming out the valve stem.
