Thanks to paul for his help & jennifer for not forgetting about my request. It's not everything but it's sure more then we had before.I filled my .177 to 200 bar and if! everything is good tomorrow i'll have some fun. For anyone just pulling theirs out of the box, just a reminder that the manometer is covered with a piece of plastic. This is the second time i got fooled on that!

Looks like there will be much  room for power improvement. My .22 has only a .147 port in the barrel. I shimmed the hammer spring .040 as the only mod I made besides making the shroud whisper quiet.  Velocities with the shim are
940's with 14.35
900's with 15.39
880's with 18.13, all JSB.

Do I have a problem or is it just me?

My rear trigger guard screw (bolt) does not engage the threads.  Made sure I didn't switch with the other bolt so don't know what's up.  Anybody else have this problem?

I wish I could help you out but I haven’t gotten my gun yet. Maybe one of the other guys can shed some light on this.

When I opened the trigger one of the screws is pretty short and does nothing. I believe it’s the one you describe. I’m not 100% but I know one of them is very short.

Got my .22 with synthetic stock this evening and it was totally empty with no air in it. I was a little a worried since I thought all PCPs were supposed to come with some pressure in them. I was right I got a leaker. I pumped it up to 300 bar shot 1 pellet and put it up. I just checked it and it is at 100 bar now just 2 hours later. I guess I’ll be sending this one back.

Pat/Paul the parts breakdown is an awesome document, just what the doctor ordered. I took my barrel off yesterday for cleaning and now it is nice to be able to see what I was looking at. By the way, that barrel was at least Crosman dirty, if not worse. The gun has an interesting layout for sure...

If Rocker 1 is able to make a baffle kit that would be nice. In stock form my Liberty makes just a bit more noise than my stock SPA M16 in .25.

I have everything ready for some shooting, but of course it is raining buckets in Atlanta today and I am on the road on Sunday, so will be middle of the week before I get back and get some trigger time.

Zac- Sorry to hear you have a leaker in a new gun. My first Nova came with 200 bar in it. The .177 i received yesterday arrived empty. Had me wondering! It made a funny squeaking noise as it was filling but has held air overnight. Have you tried to pinpoint the leak? Some soapy water might help. Maybe you will get lucky & just be able to snug something up. I know trying to find a leak is no fun when your pumping.

So it held air at 100bar overnight and I tried repumping just now. I can hear the air leaking as I’m pumping and I can feel air that seems to be coming from the burst disc or somewhere near that area. I didn’t get anywhere near 5000psi so I don’t think it’s the disc but idk for sure. I guess if it wasn’t  for bad luck I wouldn’t have no luck at all.

I actually just checked the bleed screw before I saw This post and it is tight. I’m pretty bummed about it. Everything was looking great last night when I was filling it no leaks and I was surprised at how quite it is. I was looking forward to some target practice today with a new toy but looks like I’ll have to wait a bit.

Edit: Pat mine was squeaking to when I was filling it. I thought maybe it was my pump so I put some silicone oil in the tube and a light coating on the outside of the inner tube but it was still squeaking. I did find that strange as well.

If it's leaking slowly from the burst disk area, it's because it's not seated fully.  If it had ruptured, it would make a loud pop and all the air would evacuate in a few seconds.  Or more correct in this case, you wouldn't have been able to fill it because it would be leaking out faster than you can add air.

Try snugging it up.  I've seen this leak many times on paintball bottles, usually a very slow leak.  The sealing margins are not very forgiving.

I would mix some dishwater soap with water & pinpoint the leak. Then you can see if it's something you feel comfortable trying to fix yourself. Don't know why it stopped leaking at 100 bar & didn't completely empty out?

WOW, this has never happened to me before. After cleaning the barrel of my Liberty and re-assembly, I mounted a Centerpoint 3x9x40 scope on the rifle that I had taken off my Hatsan 125 when I sold it a bit ago. Just to test the magazines and put some pellets through the barrel, I walked out on the deck and shot a couple of CPHP at a leaf (in the rain) at about 15 yards. Both hits... I was impressed. Then on a whim, I picked out another small leaf on the ground out at my 50 yard target and let fly with a one mil holdover, another hit...now I'm really impressed. Two full magazines through the barrel has now convinced me that the scope is very close to dead on, without me having to make any adjustments since I mounted it. Just WOW!

Both magazines worked perfectly, and the cycle is quite smooth. Out of the box, my trigger does not exibit a first stage at all. It is crisp, with what I expect is about a 2 3/4 - 3 lb pull, not too bad for a hunting rifle. While I have the synthetic stock, it feels substantial, and very lite with the CP scope mounted. I'm afraid the chippers, squirrels, and starlings are going to learn to hate this one.

I wish I had that same luck. I had to crank my scope elevation up quite a bit from the previous gun it came from. It’s good to hear the cphp are shooting ok. I’m pretty much done with them after 3 of my rifles would throw a flier about every 4 shots. I don’t think I’ll ever look back. Yes the trigger adjustments are wonky but I think a lighter spring would help in all aspects. To wet to get out and shoot mine today after the hammer spring changes I made. I look forward to getting out tomorrow and seeing how it works out.

Frankie- I had the same problem with scope? Had to shim under the rear ring & now its fine. I'm still having fits with adj these triggers. Got it down to 1 lb 6 oz but i had to replace screw A with a longer one. On both of my guns screw B should be all you have to adj for a lighter pull but it stays at 3 lbs even with the screw removed? If i turn it in CW the pull goes up to 6 lbs. Screws A and C are already bottomed out by the screw heads so longer screws are needed if you want to adj them further. I think your right about replacing the springs. I know when i took the lawyer spring out of my marauder it was like night & day.

If you've got a leak near the burst disc screw, tighten it and the long silver slotted head screw that is used to degassing the rifle.

Mine had the same leak. Tightened down the degass screw and problem solved.

My rifle was supposed to be here two days ago. USPS now says it's gonna arrive late, but is still on the way. Bummer.

Now somebody with a little more time on their hands needs to put together an O-ring kit for this little girl. I'd happily pay $25.00 plus shipping not to have to do the work, lol!

Also, it looks like multi holed brass disk is the regulator adjustment after all. Looks like the reg is a typical Belleville washer rig. Turning the brass disk counter-clockwise ( while looking straight on at it) should increase the regulator pressure. Wish I could buy the test rig the factory uses. Would love to set mine at 150bar or so.

Anyone been able to get the trigger under 3 lbs?  I've just about removed the trigger weight screw and it won't go below 3.12 lbs.  I like a light trigger for target shooting.  My BullBoss trigger is at 1.5 lbs and I consider that on the heavy side.  My Marauders have a trigger pull weight of only .13 lbs!
