Announcing this early- the FT match for October is on!
I'm heading to Deer camp, coming back on the 20th, in time to unlock the gates at 8:15 am for setup. I won't have cell or email until then.

Everyone is invited, rifles and pistols limited to 20 ft/lbs and .22 cal & under.
Looking forward to this match, let's get together and shoot!

Psst ...

Martin's in deer camp, so here's my proposition.
We'll shoot all the paint off his faceplates this Sunday.
It will be so very funny. Okay?

Yes. You other guys go first. I insist.

Just like you Bob, always willing to share the fun ;D. I'll be there, hoping Martin brings some back straps to grill for lunch!

Beautiful day, and a really great crew of shooters today! The sun was out and the wind played just a little hide and seek on the range. The Diablo crew had come out last weekend and did some maintenance, cleaning lanes and adding structures that contributed to a different look, as well as challenging distance estimations for those who've had experience shooting there in the past.

As promised, Cheez-its were provided in lieu of venison- I don't think anyone noticed?  We had just the right number of shooters; there was someone to talk to, share excuses with (except for Riz, he loves his gun) and not be rushed or pushed by an upcoming crew.
Here are the results and hopefully, images to delight your senses!
Looking forward to next week at Yolo- I've permission to bring the wagon of prizes out for the Guess your Score awards- Hope to see you all there!

Actually good to see Rizalde shooting his Old Red Steyr ... frankly feel he shoots it better than his Thomas ???
Dang, gotta speak with Jim C and find out what he ate for breakfast .. it was not WHEATIES !! because his score was not his typical  :P

Would have liked to have made this match but instead gathered with friends & family for a fallen friend had me at a memorial service instead.

See all you hooligans this Sunday for the SVFTC match in Yolo ... until then  ;D

I almost made it to the match... but then wisdom kicked in.  I figured I shouldn't leave my family to stain the deck while I go shoot field target.  I wouldn't want to come home to a hornets nest!

That was a fun Sunday. :D A well balanced course from a tiny 1/4" KZ in close to some big ones out at 50+!  And enough forced position lanes to keep you on your toes.  See you guys next Sunday in Yolo!
