What airgun related did you do today?

Somehow the clear plastic cover of my Notos magazine developed a crack from the small metal pin, to the screw hole, all the way to outer edge. This caused the pin to fall and render the magazine useless.
To repair this, I used super glue gel to bond the crack. Then I apply a clear packing tape to the entire one side of the cover, and used an Xacto knife to trim off all the excess all around the perimeter of the cover. Apply a bit of glue to the small metal pin, and reinstalled it.
I waited about an hour to allow some time for the glue to cure. Reloaded the mag and ran some shots through the Notos. Everything seems to be working fine again.

Good to see you're that handy and committed, my CooKoo clock exhibited the same failure and I ordered two CARM 12 round mags...glad it worked out for you.

It was actually a fairly easy fix. I'm determined to not replace this mag until it absolutely fails. I wasn't sure if this fix was going to work, so earlier today at work I put a CARM 12 round mag and their single shot loader on the cart. Still holding out. Lol

I refreshed (straightened) my 25-yard spoons and put up new targets on my 30-yard board.  Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'm going to replace my shot-to-death 30-yard spoons.

Ram Kim’s HW50S across chrono today because it was shotgunning a little at end of session last weekend. Turns out she had switched pellets because the JSB were easier to load. Pics below show how some rifles just don’t like some pellets. I thought it had a burned up seal when I shot the JSBs. It’s always been better with FTT than the JSBs. I think the heat has made it even more extreme. Front sight had worked a little loose, tightened it, went back to FTT and it’s shooting great again.

Notos Safari on USACOE hunting area.  Really just an excuse to put my second trail camera into use.  The same doe came by the other camera at 4:03am today...

I received a syringe of thermal paste for putting the SSR on the heat sink of a PID that I recently put together. I pulled the SSR off and applied the paste.
I also listed a C02 pistol in the classifieds. Need to scratch around and find a few more to list. I have my eye on a new purchase.

I shot a bunch of PBs for 4 hours this sweaty afternoon.   It'll take me two days to clean all the guns.   That's a significant reason I like AGs.   Cleanup is trivially easy.   Lazy old me also does not enjoy carrying any more heavy stuff around than I have to.   The weight of this afternoons worth of PB ammo is a couple years of pellet shooting by weight.  I really like dropping a tin of pellets in my pocket and having enough ammo for a couple hours of practice.   But I only shoot .177 and .22, so no heavy, large caliber pellets.   Also, no ear protection required with my AGs.   I'm not much of a fan of heavy recoil these days either.    In the last few years, during which I've gotten pretty serious about AGs, I've found myself more and more disinterested in PBs and their downsides.  But they are still cool.

There's something very relaxing about loading one pellet at a time when plinking. As long as the loading process is easy. I enjoy single loading my break barrels, but not my pcps or pampers.
I have that CARM Notos single Pellet loader in my cart. One of these days I may pull the trigger on it.

Much of the above sounds like me. I only have one PB but still dislike the time and the solvent smell of cleaning up (it’s a revolver). The air rifle is quiet enough I use one earplug, only on my shooting side, and even without it the dB level isn’t bad. No recoil...yep. Practicing several times a week is easy, right at home, and I can recover most of the pellets.

I haven’t practiced since two days ago but will likely still get in 3x this week, as usual. It’s just a lot of fun to work on shooting for better accuracy than thinking—always, even at the back of the mind—about self defense aspects.

Crazy rain has stopped for the moment, so maybe soon...
