I installed a Tim Hill Matched Parts Kit in my .25 Mrod today. It’s now shooting the 33.95 grain Jsb’s at 820 FPS producing 50.3 FPE! It’s going to be a Critter Smack Down!

Metal fatigue plan and simple. When I first got the gun it was really hard to rack in the pellets. So much so I had to push on the back of the bolt! Turned out that was due to a very sharp flange on the lead. Also the spring is pretty stiff as stock and requires some cocking effort.

Tonight I picked it up, went to cock it, and the handle snapped off in my hand.

It's going back. Not even a week old. Maybe 100 rounds through it?

Adjusted the first and second stage travel on the trigger of my new Hw30 Laminate. Test shot it a bunch of times in the basement. So accurate at only 8 yards it's boring.

Put a coat of boiled linseed oil on my Venom Vantage stock. Starting to look a little warmer and darker.

Have you considered the SS Balanced Valve from JSAR? I installed the SS Valve and a larger TP and went from 627.12fps/15.84fpe to 868.26fps/30.36fpe with no other mods to the gun.

Worked on the Seneca Aspen a bit.

Dressed the crown and lead. Placed a paper bushing in the shroud ring, there was some play between the ring and the shroud. Also found one of the plastic 'bushings' inside the shroud was just a little loose so tightened that.

Something happened today that prompted me to get after it. I was out shooting and it was not doing so well groups were out to 2" plus and inconsistent.

At one point I let the gun slip out of my lap and it hit the dirt barrel tip first. Not hard but had to clean the shroud cap a little.

My next shot was way off from the previous groups, had to move the scope zero quite a bit to get it in line. Strangely though it started to group better. This got me to thinking "You know this barrel is loose some how"!

Went to the Fred Hall fishing show. Saw a guy sitting alone manning a Umarex/Ruger airgun booth. So, I decided to pay a visit. Might as well get my fix. So he demonstrates safety procedures and I get to shoot. Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! And one more for the road. Smack! I think it was only supposed to be three shots but the guy let me because he was bored out of his mind.

Must have been good luck because a couple of families with kids showed up to shoot after.
