What airgun related did you do today?

Shooting the Urban this morning... Man I love this gun. I have to pace my shots because I'm kinda spoiled with the higher shot count of other guns in  my arsenal.
The gun came with one mag when I bought it some years ago and I am lucky that the original mag still works as new. A few years ago some of us went in on a group buy of aftermarket mags but that was a one and done deal. I bought 2 of them and they worked great.. until they didn't. The oring rubs on the bottom and walks the mag out. It had to be tapped in after each shot. Messing around this morning I was able to stick the barb side of a velcro strip into a position that allowed the mags to function as they should.
I can also tether the gun to a tank at 3325 psi to bypass the low shot count issue.

 I shot a few pellets over the crony with mt .22 Dragonfly1 688 at 8 pumps can't complain about that, also pumping is easier with my pump handle extension 

 
 I then sorted through a few pages of the Big Bore Gate, I was taking a break shooting the Umarex Canex Over the crony does not like cooler temps  8.75gr 590 then drops off to 550 for a follow up shot, at 65f and 35% humidity, <~ Up Date I think I had some old dud CO2 LOL <  it should run better around 75f. the shots will go through both sides of a soup can at 10m.
 Then I got interrupted by the TDS phone fiber optic line diggers, I will be blazing fast but may have a short interruption sometime soon

I got the riser for the bin tac cnc stock on the regged m457 today. The hardware needed cut down to still allow travel on the tube so I fired up the grinder and got the files out and got them all cut and cleaned up and installed. Here's some pics. I also picked up a 27 gal tote on sale at Walmart and did some organizing in the gun room.

Gunkoted 1720T and PROD uppers.

Cerakote’s too flimsy and marks easily for me even though I am extra careful, so I had it redone.

GK does seem tougher based on my abrasion test where it’s not seen 👍

The PROD has a modified 24” Fortitude tube and
a 21” LW MROD barrel but I have already posted a pic of it a few months ago.

I think I’ll attach an OPMOD (Optics Planet Exclusive) FDE Vortex Diamondback 4-16x44 and an AREA 419 12” arca rail on this one..

Hmm, silver and FDE should be a nice combo 👍

Yeah I Cerakoted for a gun shop here in town and wasn't impressed with it, I was able to get a better finish than what Cerakote called for but still had a few people complained that a dirty kydex holster scratched the freshly coated gun.. well derrr..

Been waiting for my AG out for nickel boron plating for a while now; Mahovsky of Metalife got sick, so…..

If I like the results, I will also have these 2 plated as I am not really overly impressed with paint even though these 2 were done nicely.

I have nickel boron plated parts done by CCR and it’s really nice when you wipe them unlike paint which is kinda rough.

I disassembled the Crosman 2200 and replaced the probe O-ring.  I also replaced the stock hammer spring with one from a Legacy 1000.  I want to shorten the backsight mounting screws so they don’t put pressure on the barrel.  I was cutting different sized pieces of ice maker tubing to find the best fit for the transfer port when I started having trouble focusing my eyes.  I was going to trial fit the ice maker tubing TP seal but I’m clearly too tired.  Well there’s always tomorrow.

 I put 2 new Barra CO2 carts in my Umarex Canex and fired 4- 2 shot strings over the crony this time only a few fps drop on the 2nd aka follow up shot, at 65f I then let the gun rest a good 1/2 hour until the next 2 shots, 6 shots in it is staying right around 600 fps with 8.7 gr pellets.
 This thing can kill cans punching through both sides

That pump handle extension is brilliant! And it looks cool, as well!

Had several pieces of brass set screws, button screws, and cap nuts——all hex—-from Amazon and Mcmaster come in different days—-deburred and polished, of course, when they join my toys 🥴

For my brass and SS 22xx, I need to cut some to appropriate length 👍

Only the valve and hidden breech screws on this one are stainless; they’re hidden, so…

I dunno why but I cannot really stand looking at pieces that don’t match 

At home, I do the decors myself, from curtains to plates to itty bitty stuff 👍

I squared up the scope and made sure everything was tight on the regged m457. I also fiddled around with the rear adjustable butt piece. It has a monopod built into it but it would not screw all the way in due to the screw holding the butt piece was too long. And it was also missing one of the screws. I got this on a used gun (cheap) so it's to be expected. Lo and behold I had a good sized bolt that came off the silver scope mount that I modified that worked perfectly. I had to cut it down and did the same with the one that came with it. It won't matter they are two different styles because I ordered a nice rubber cover for it last night. That's about it.

I took the C2200 apart and put it back together several times today.  With a new transfer port seal and a Legacy 1000 hammer spring it is sounding much healthier.  Tomorrow I will chronograph it.

 Got out the Crosman 2100 Classic, shot it a little and installed a set of 411 diopter sights yesterday.

Once I receive barrel spacers and install them, I'm going to need to secure the front sight.
It actually shoots pretty nice little groups if I move the front sight back over to the right after every shot lol.

I was shooting a few guns tethered yesterday and noticed a small leak somewhere in the connection. I knew it wasn't the gun because I had the same leak with every gun I tethered.
I got out to the shop early this morning and set about finding and fixing that leak.
I actually found 3 small leaks. All 3 in the scba fill station.
One was in the tube fitting to the bleed/gauge block. Fixed that Teflon thread tape and tightening.
One was the bleeder screw. I fixed that one by replacing the screw with one I had on hand.
The third one was the gauge fitting itself where it screwed into the block. That was also fixed with Teflon tape and tightening.
I tested it by putting a dead head in the hose whip and opening the tank valve to pressurize the station. Then I shut off the tank and let the station sit under pressure. It held steady for several minutes.
Next I changed the filters in all my inline water/oil separators and tested those for leaks.
Finally I topped the 60 minute scba tank from 25 bar to 32 bar with the YH compressor. This took around 5 minutes run time and the compressor temp only rose to 124f. I checked the inline filter for moisture and it was bone dry.
I have one inline filter coming out of the compressor and one in a hose extension I use for tethering. Tethered air is essentially filtered twice going into guns.
I'm considering taking this tank with us on our trip to Ohio instead of the CS3 compressor. As of right now the gun of choice for the trip will be the NOTOS. That gun is regulated at around 2000 to 2100 psi IIRC and we'll only be shooting it periodically over 2 days.

I shot four ten shot strings across the chronograph with the 2200 at twelve pumps.  The mean velocity for all four groups was 533 fps.  The gun shows a remarkable consistency now with 17gr Ruger SuperPoints.  Standard deviation for all groups was under 3.0.  Accuracy is much improved with the gun now shooting 1/2' groups at 18 yards.  It has lost 30 fps but velocities are much more consistent and accuracy is better.  I may take it apart again and replace the Legacy 1000 hammer spring with the original 2200 hammer spring and see if the velocity comes up.  I may just leave it as it is, an accurate 11FPE pumper.
