The Excites do well in some of my guns, but my go to pellet for most of my .177 guns is the Crosman Premier domes in 10.5 gr.

No way!!!! I'd about decided to return my unopened package from Bass Pro. Guess I need to check it out.

BTW, do have to adjust your scope for shooting the heavier pellets?

Shot some JSB 15.89 grain in my Hatsan AT44 today.  Turned up the hammer strike preload, raised it to 840 fps.  An then shot some H&N 14.66 grain and was surprised by the accuracy.  Averaging 867 fps, and pretty good precision at 50 yards.
Want to find a pellet/setting  combo to at least be competitive in one of these 100 Yard matches....

Late Thursday night actually, but was able to knock a few items off my (want) to-do list.

First was to scan and enter dimensional data into CAD software for the Edge trigger "blade". I want to redesign it to remove that overly curved shape and make a new straighter trigger blade out of solid metal. Stock trigger is stamped/formed out of  0.050" sheet metal.

Cleaning up and you all know where that is going. Trying to find a charger for one of my cordless dremel tool and reorganizing the pellet stash. I have found some things that have been MIA for a while which is good.

 Yes POI is slightly lower with 10.5 gr. Sometimes POI can be off on the windage also.

Wrapped my shooting stick with Temflex 2155 tape. I had used spray-on Plasti-dip before, but that was getting shredded and was coming off in a lot of places. A single wrap of this tape ends up way thicker than that spray coating was and should be a lot tougher. It did take a while to put on, between maintaining tension in the stretched tape without breaking it, rolling the shooting stick (1" carbon fiber tube) on the table without it going all over the place (a loop of rope to one of the chairs took care of that), and maintaining an even overlapping wrap that advanced at about 1/4" per revolution  .

Rolling it on the table while constrained by that rope was the key, otherwise it very fatiguing for the "rolling" hand! The carbon fiber tube was a lucky find among debris from a research project. It is super light, but also quite slick on its own, especially when wet or sweaty.

No Problem. It was just the only scope I had lying around.  Forgot how nice these guns are. Single pump, cock, load, fire. Trigger ain't as bad as I remember. I wish they made one that shoots about 650 FPS. Not sure why many companies don't make more powerful SSPs?

Was a guy out my way, that made a 700 fps 22 cal, SSP. I think he was looking for companies to produce it. But not sure if it went anywhere.

While I applaud the effort to make a better solid metal trigger for the Edge/Striker/1000 series rifles, it's already been done. Kind of still is and I'm surprised you don't already know this being a self proclaimed Hatsan fanatic. I posted about this way back when I started my own search for trigger mods for one and Ed aka OldCorps and I wrote a small book on how to do it.
There's a gentleman in the UK named Welsh Willy who used to make a trigger for them. I traded quite a few emails with him and was told he stopped because no one followed the installation instructions, then complained the trigger didn't work as advertised. They aren't advertised on his site, but you might try emailing him and see if he still has a few stashed away: https://woodfield-gcp.co.uk/
The "kind of still is" part I mentioned above?? I got ignored when I posted about it, but the Edge trigger pack is a clone of the older style Gamo's and Charlie's GRT III trigger drops right in, just follow his instructions. The only thing you have to do is find your own personal way to make that trigger blade a little longer as it isn't quite long enough in the Hatsans to comfortably get your finger on.

Was aware of both options, but have not fully reviewed all your documented efforts.

I have great respect and admiration for CDT and his exquisitely machined triggers and would consider one for my own use on a more "worthy" rifle. I'm certain these adjustable machined trigger blades are worth every penny of the $33 (shipped) asking price. For myself, spending $33 dollars on a trigger upgrade for a $39 air rifle is just not going to happen.

WW triggers were (and still are) listed as "NO LONGER AVAILABLE" on their website. Cost if they were still available is likely to be similar to or more than the GRT with oversea shipping.

The learning process and tinkering effort are 50% or more of the satisfaction I get from this hobby/addiction. Assuming even one is successful (might not be), I don't plan on making more than a few of these for my own use. However, I would likely post a successful build tutorial for those who also like tinkering or making something useful from what everyone else considers scrap.

Went home for lunch and unboxed a pair of Benjamin Maximus' that were delivered today by the brown truck. Waiting for a pair of scopes to arrive Thursday for them. Then Betty Lou and I will have yet another pair of guns to compete with.

Searching for parts for Crosman 66 Powermaster,the one that uses the pellet clip (2001-2008)

It took a year to come across what looks like the right color of brown plastic stocks for my sons 760-C Pumpmaster. But I found'em on eBay and they came in today, two days early! In very good condition too. Even the overwash for the molded-in grain looks good. Gonna swap the butt stock on and see if it matches up well. If not, I can always knock the pins out of the forestocks and swap the one I just got onto it. That also means I have a spare pump lever part to save for just in case.


  Here he's just unboxed it on his birthday last year. You can't see in this frame that the butt plate was pried off.

Not needed at job work today and too much rain for yard work or shooting outside. Had some fun-time to burn. I usually enjoy a challenge and today was a good day for one. Fabricated a new "less curved" steel trigger blade for one of my Hatsan Edge refurbs. Came out surprisingly good for my first attempt. Too much to post here.   Started to tear down my Freedom 8 I was filling tanks yesterday and it was taking too long to top off the last tank and I thought it was a leaking bleeder. It wasn't when I dead headed the compressor it barely got to 2500 psi. Today is rebuild the Freedom 8 day . Not too bad 4 years to rebuild and since I never tracked hours don't ask cause I don't know what I do know is that is anywhere from 3 to 5 fills a month for the last 4 years  no complaints from this owner.
