It looks like I'll be searching for another Benji. I have never seen a 312 with this rear sight. I think this change is significant enough to add one to the collection. There are two on the bay right now. Unfortunately their they're both in rough shape.

Aaahh. I thought you were referring to the rear sight on your original ebay link, which is a V-Bar.

Good eye on that other one. I might have caught it but I'm not into Benji's (yet, so watch out!!  ;))

Thanks for posting that link over at the other thread Dennis. No telling how long it would have taken for me to notice that change.

Here's the other 312 that's currently on there (bay)...

To whomever...any other significant changes I'm unaware of please bring them to my attention.

No problem.

Re: that other thread "What am I missing here?" - You were referring to why someone would pay that much for a gun in such poor condition, right?

Exactly Dennis. That particular gun looks like it was submerged in a swamp for decades. There isn't a whole lot that can be salvaged if any & at over $100 for parts. ??? I can only imagine what the insides are like.

On the flip side it is a model anyone interested should look for. #1 being the "tootsie roll" forearm, & two that fully adjustable rear sight. Although this sight is not the best for precise shooting I think it is very well engineered for it's time & one of the best looking IMHO.

Well, there must be a lot of swamp lovers out there. As of this writing, 37 bidders @ $99. Must be bidding one dollar at a time.

This gentleman is well into his 80's & considered "THE AFICIONADO" of the Benji world. I would consider his collection as a visual file. One done with incredible knowledge & foresight. I can only imagine what is filed away in his cabinets & actual doc files. No sir, this is an absolute treasure.

This is what I consider hoarding...

I hope so Louis. He's going to give me individual photos of those exact 3. The 300 front pump is the transitional model I need...from these spawned the '42 312's.
