I see my '56 would slip nicely between the '42 and the '74. You might need to expand that rack someday.   Tom

Is that little yellow spot under the dog original?

Nicer collection, I had a chance to adopt a '77 checkered 342 from my mom's neighbor and really wish I had accepted it.
Needed a reaseal, linkage pivot, and an external part or two so I passed but really wish I hadn't

I never really thought about that Steve. In hindsight I guess the í42 kind of sets this collection apart. The funny thing is it pretty much fell into my lap. I placed an ad here on GTA for a 312 which is how I acquired the í74. This same gentleman sent me pix of his í42 312. The gun by itself didnít raise much of a red flag but the box did, especially the scene with the hunter & his dog. The same type box & its gun showed up on the bay the following day & ran for several days, longer than most. Only two guys were bidding til the second to the last day then another bidder showed up & led the pack. His bid held for the final seconds then I slipped in. Felt pretty fortunate about this one.

There are at least three others I feel pretty good about; the S392Pís & the í90 342. The 392ís actually seemed pretty easy to find at the time. I know now this couldnít be farther from the truth. I have spent countless hours searching for more & they are without a doubt a needle in a hay stack.

As for the í90 342 it is a key model for this collection in that it is the last year for the 34x before transitioning into the 39x & it is absolutely flawless. The other significance for me is that it was owned by perhaps the most knowledgeable individual on the planet with respect to these models.
