Pellets Need Not Apply!
« on: August 18, 2018, 03:29:58 AM »
If you have been following Dana's videos you have seen both of these already and may have wondered what they were :)  Both are 22 caliber, regulated, repeaters, and offer long range accuracy with incredible down range energy.

The EVOL is 60 fpe with the 30 gn. NSA flatbase and the Slayer will produce 80 fpe with the same 30 gn NSA slug.

Hi Tom,
is the fpe difference because of the barrel length or a setting?  Just wondered how barrel length affected things.
thanks,

barrel length can surely play into that ... however i think it also comes down to the Slayer models using a totally different platform as well as valve etc .. but i could be wrong ...

The EVOL version is ready, it has been though field testing for about 8 month and I'm very satisfied.  The Slayer version still needs some TLC and field testing.  We have some orders to get out the door, once those are out I will put the EVOL version up on the site for purchase.

Does that mean the traditional rifle version (.308 slayer high power) with wood/laminate stock wonít be out until minimum another year or two?

Most likely it will be made available for sale in late Feb.  Longer if there are field test issues or recommendations that need to be implemented.

Here is a peek.  Don't panic, they will be available in both hands as well as walnut.  This fist ones are going to be MAD DOG all weather types to make sure the production tooling is up to snuff.

Thatís looking good Tom. So, their will be another variation of rifle stock other than the one pictured? I would absolutely love a thumbhole stock, just not a fan of the MAD DOG stock although this one is oooook looking ::). Also, any versions of laminate maybe?

Yes there wilk be others  This is the first to prove out the design and tooling.  Once this one is signed off then the walnut will follow.

When you see this one with a nickle action you may change your mind :)
