Looking for feed back on this rifle! I'm looking to find a rifle to shoot the 10.5gn pellets out of? anybody got any data on 1 of these rifles? I have never had any luck with the 34's for some reason

I maybe looking for something other then this rifle, I'm not looking to buy a heavy rifle like the 48's or a 460 or anything like that or 350mag! sorry! but I will respect ur opinions

That was the first RWS and only one I bought when I got back into springers. I shot the heavies as that is all that would remotely group, if you want to call it that. The bore would foul out real fast, and the muzzle brake wouldn't stay tight. I think it ended up in the creek down there. Went to the HW's and haven't looked back. I understand the itch, just buy some more pellets with the money.

Or make another order with Krale.......

I got out of the heavies, 8.64 gr is where I stop. Maybe a R1 or full power 97?

Don't choose a rifle based on a pellet! As you know many air rifles shoot pellets differently.

Straightshooters.com sells a test kit with 18 different pellets with 25 of each provided. They will go from low to higher weight. Try them before you get specific on the pellet you like.

As for information on the rifle with various pellets. Check the listing for that 34 on straight shooters. Look at their comments and information on the rifle. They have a comments section they call OUR TAKE. it gives the results of shooting many pellets through a real rifle. They give velocity and calculated energies at different ranges. They DON'T give accuracies as that depends too much on the shooter.

I did over 100 tests with all kinds of pellets (lead & non-lead) that I have posted on this site numerous times using my rws 54 and my fwb300. I quote my group sizes but don't believe them for your application but use them as a guide.

You should be able to find the file if you search on my username. DTDTDTDT (bad case of DT's one day.)

If you can't find it, I will repost it for you to see.

My regular 34's like the lighter pellets, 8.44-8.64. The meisterschulze is a shorter barreled rifle with a heavy weight on the end that some reviews said did not stay put.
For something different might wait on the new Sig, shoots somewhere close to 19-20 ftlbs in .177.

So far all my Dianas (fixed and break barrel) all like pellets in the range of 8.3 to 8.5 grains. These include two 34s.

I have experimented with a number of different 34 rifles. I have found some do like JSB/AA Heavies and some like Barracuda Match. Most commen good pellet are CPL and H&N FTT. Like someone said above I would not buy a rifle, especially a spring rifle, with the hopes it will shoot a JSB Heavy well. I like the 34. It's a great rifle and simple. Easiest piston rifle to take apart.

I have a 340 N-Tec.Compact. As Jason said, the muzzle brake needs to be Loctited in place. The area under the MB is not blued very well.
Mine is in .22 and I shoot 16 grain AA. Shoulders great.

I have the Panther version. It didn't like heavy pellets but likes at least a few others. It's taken a whack load of squirrels and a good size ghog. A dimer at 30 yards with boxed CPLs and the tinned version. The brake, sometimes I leave on. Sometimes off. Has to be resighted. A light offhander without it. With brake, I use a tiny drop of temporary thread lock.

I have a 34 Classic with a full power Vortek kit, it shoots several pellets well. H&N FTT and Baracuda Match are it's favorites. It shoots JSB Exact Heavies 773 fps, FTT 854 fps and Baracuda Match 755 fps averages for 10 shots.

Any particular reason on why you want a .177 ? I have owned the .22 and that was a sweet shooter. I have even shot JSB Monsters 25 grain with my 34 and that went well (surpringly accurate too btw).

Next to the caliber choice, of course you don't want to miss out on the T06 trigger !

well I have a ton of .22cal rifles! IMO I'm looking for a flatter shooting rifle, yes I have 2 .20cal rifles, a R1 and a 97k, I'm missing a bigger powered .177cal in the stable! LOL!! 1 that I would like to try the 10gn pellets out of! the .177cal rifles I do have the power plants are not big enough to push a 10gn pellet with any authority!!! other then maybe my new 97k in .177cal which I have de tuned, it has been suggested that try that rifle before buy another? it does shoot the 10.5gn Crosman pellets pretty good but I'm not sure it has enough power to shoot the ranges I'm wanting and taking pigeons at the ranges I'll be shooting? I know the .20cal rifle I use to use yrs ago @60 to 80yds would drop them dead of their perch with an 11,2gn ftt!! this why I'm looking for the info I am! but I'm also not looking for a 10lb rifle either!

I recently sold my Pro Meisterschutze to a friend. It was my first foray into air gunning because of a problem with rats. Mine shot the JSB 10.34gr very well, took 47 rats with it. My other friend purchased one because of mine and still shoots it. With that money knowing what I know now I’d opt for a HW97 or LGU from Krale. Don’t get me wrong, the RWS is phenomenal for what you pay for, it’s just the others are under levers and cycle more smoothly.

Ok, got it ! LOL !

Well I don't have any data for you but the fact that my 34 shot the .22 JSB Monsters without too much drop (scope was sighted in on 25yrds with JSB Jumbo, no need to apply mil dots yet for the Monsters) on 25yrds says enough...

Why wouldn’t you just get a HW95 from Krale? You should be able to easily push that 14-15 fpe no problem. At one time I had mine doing 17+ fpe with the “Hornet” spring. It grouped CPL 7.9’s but felt like an I.E.D. going off in my hand! 😂

Would have probably felt a lot better with heavier pellets though! 😎

well here again I have a 97k I can power up again that shorts the 10.5gn pellets, pretty decent! but here again its a heavy rifle! so my thoughts is that or buy a HW80

My HW 80 and R1 .22 cals were both shooting 740 fps tuned with ARH kits. My 95 with the hornet kit in .22 was shooting 720 fps consistantly, and easier to shoot. I would lean towards the HW 95 also juiced up. I have also found in the heavier calipers, tho 26mm pistons in the HW 97 are basically the same as the HW 95, the 95's have shot just a tad quicker.

Hey Mark, my HW97K .177 loves the HN Baraccuda Match 4.52 head size pellets. Very small groups and such a smooth shot cycle with a heavier pellet. She's putting out 15.5-16fpe with this pellet, mine has a Vortex Kit in her installed and tuned by John in PA. It's one of the Older Models and that bbl really loves that ammo. I love shooting this gun, for me it's not too heavy for my use. I don't walk all day in the woods. We drive around looking for our game then put a stalk on it. No trees in the desert lol only mesquite bushes that critters hide under. That's why I like the heavier pellets don't get deflected as much or as easy as a 7.9 CPL
