Granbury, TX FT Match
« on: July 06, 2018, 12:16:52 AM »
I have been bad about posting match announcements on websites but for once I remembered.  I will try to start posting them here same as Dallas & ASC.  So everyone knows Dallas & Granbury started a partnership 4 years ago where our two clubs alternate months we hold matches.  So Dallas has their matches Feb, April, June, August, October, & December.  Granbury has matches January, March, May, July, September, & November.  Sometimes we get off schedule due to weather, etc. but that is our basic calendar.  We always hold our matches on the 2nd Saturday of the month (again weather sometimes jacks that up).

So now I have explained how that works, and if you read carefully, you will realize that Granbury is next up to bat on Saturday July 14th.  If you would like to attend this FT match please send me a message with your name and email address.  I will email you the match info.  The Granbury matches are in a gated area with security.  I have to know you are coming to allow you passage thru security.  So let me know a couple days ahead of the match, but sooner the better as I typically serve food after the match and have to buy food.  It's always a good time with a great group of people.

Thanks, Craig

All,
Below are the match results from this past Saturday.  We want to thank Vickie Leggett for grilling hotdogs for us.  We want to welcome Jim Tenpenny who came out and shot his first FT match.  It was a good match but it was hot.  It reminded me of our July match a year ago in that people were more zombies than their normal chipper selves.  None the less we survived.  Congrats to Bob Dye for winning the Hunter PCP Class and overall high match score.  Congrats to Bob Pacatte for a great Hunter Piston score and overall high piston score.  Our next match will be Saturday 9/8 when hopefully it will be cooler.  This Saturday is the 3rd leg of the TX GP at ASC.  Please let Jeff Cloud know that if intend to be there.

Upcoming FT Mtaches in Granbury, TX:

On October 13th we will have a make up match for our September match that was rained out.  If you want to come to this please send me a PM (preferably email me if you have my address).  I will put you on the guest list to get you thru security.  Normally October would be the Dallas FT Club's month to hold a match but due to Dallas hosting the RoT in September, Nationals in October, and I got rained out in September I took over October from Dallas.

On November the 17th, back by popular demand, I will be hosting the 3rd annual Texas State Piston Chamionship.  Awards will be given for 1st-3rd place.  Piston rifles only.  You must shoot one of the 3 AAFTA piston classes and abide by your chosen class rules.  Top three scores get an award.

Hope you can make it.
