I just went downstairs and shot my 10m targets.  Boy, all those 6's really hurt.  I recently read an article about using reading glasses to shoot if you are far sighted and decided to give it a try.  I got a set of cheap 1X reading glasses at Walgreens and tried them out today.  For me, they really help keep the front sight in focus but the target does get noticeably blurrier.  I think with a little training I can get used to using these but I definitely have to take them off as soon as I'm done shooting a target.  I forgot and walked down to pull the target with the glasses on and it made me feel a little wonky.   :o

Thanks Kid Shelleen, it was a "Water sport" event....everywhere where we had to get to we had to canoe or kayak there.  Our camp site was an almost 1 mile canoe trip to base camp, a few camp sites were even further away.  Two out of our seven days we had to paddle to base camp and back three times.  Our arms and shoulders are still sore ha ha.  There were two USA troops there...one from Ohio and one from Upstate New York....those boys were more disciplined than the Canadian youths (Canadian Scouts have been co-ed for a few years now (We still have the Girl Guides)).

We had a fire ban during our last two days because it had not rained in over a week and a half (Great for us)....and it was a mosquitoe fest after 8 p.m in the woods.  After 9 p.m even in the open with a slight breeze those blood suckers will get us...so into the tents/hammocks we went.
