1720T port change

Anyone have a site that explains how to change the port on the 1720t? I've read that it is a 10 minute job but haven't found directions on how to do it. I'm just going to be target shooting at less than 15 meters so the greater shot count smaller port sounds good.
Thanks,
Shawn

I like to degas just to be safe. 4 socket head screws hold down breech 2 in front 2 in rear don't know size of Allen key required. Separate breech from pressure tube transfer port might fall out or be stuck to the breech or tube exchange and put back together.

I've done it in reverse (power up/fewer shots)with a 1700 (same as today's 1701) and a P-rod...so figure running that bacck wards would do what you're looking for..
If looking for really low speeds (like the 5 foot pound range...which is useful for plinking/targets at the ranges you're playin in) then order a 1701 transfer port. It's not that you can't make a large hole smaller, just that it's a lot more work than making a small hole larger.
Basically the 1720T is a P-rod (just in .177 and without a magazine), so the take down for one is pretty much the same for the other.
1.Order a Crosman 1701 transfer port. It will fit in just the same, but the hole though the trasnfer port is smaller.
2. Could follow this video to about the 9:23 mark. You do not need to go any farther than that. At which point take out the issue 1720 trasnfer port and put in the 1701 transfer port).
https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=P-rod+take+dopwn+video&&view=detail&mid=B6994719D33161DF52EEB6994719D33161DF52EE&&FORM=VRDGAR
In real life, just me in the room and no chance of hurting anyone else, I won't FULLY degas. I'll shoot it down to lower pressure (call it 1000-1400psi) and take it down like the above video. YEAH...it's my risk, and I accept whatever might happen, but running pressure down by 1/2 to 2/3rds, and that should allow me to take the top half off without too much risk.
3. Reverse the take down with the 1701 transfer port in place.
Should be good to go.

It will take 10 minutes if you have something else to do for eight...
I use a PRod TP in my 1720T.
With a bit heavier spring, I am right at 12fpe for 20 good shots, un-regulated..

Thanks everyone. Sounds very easy to do. Anyone know what size the second port is that ships with the 1720t? I'm wondering if it is already the 1701P port? I see the 1701p is 0.043" while the stock 1720p is 0.067. The 1720p parts diagram doesn't show the second port that it shipped with.
On a related note... is swapping the bolt to left handed as easy as it looks while the breech is off? Taking out the stud/bolt, flipping the bolt and reinstalling the stud/bolt?
Thanks,
Shawn

Thanks everyone, it was very easy to swap out. Same with changing the bolt side to side. It is the nut in the bolt itself and then two additional screws to flip a gate from side to side. Can't believe how quiet the 1720t is with the small port.
Wasn't sure which way to go with a sight/scope. Was thinking about the 6x BugBuster but decided to move my Leapers 3-9x40 from my LGU onto the 1720T with the stock. It adjusts down to 5 yards so it should work well after I sight it in. LGU is going to get a Leaper 10x50 30mm scope.
Thanks again!
