Duk IL Hunting Master RS

Well its getting too hot for me to enjoy fishing so Im back to airguns. Got the bug again about 2 weeks ago watching Hatsan Carnivore videos on Youtube from Tofazfou and Southern Gunner. Ive since backed away from the ledge and decided it's not for me. Guess I'll wait on the Sam Yang Eagle Claw.

Anyhow, I've ran through all of my big bore airguns and posted results so I figured I'd get back to shooting with one of my small bore airguns. I ordered a scope and mounted it to my Hunting Master RS. This gun feels great in the hands. It pretty light and the narrow forearm made it feel natural in my hands. The RS stands for rifle/shotgun. Its rifled but performed like a shotgun with almost everything I put in it. Groups were all over the place until I loaded some Eun Jin 28.4 domed pellets. I hate buying a bunch of different pellets just to find one that works well in a particular gun, but there's been several occasions were one of my guns only would group with one or two pellets. This was a perfect example. I wasn't expecting this one to have as much power as it does and the shot count was a pleasant surprise. Its in .22 and produces max 70 fpe.  Eun Jins did well at 45 yards but not well enough for me to expect much at 70 yards. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to try it out anyway this weekend. I have the shot string and 4 shot group below.

A.Z., Your rifle is shooting pretty hot. That might account for the "RS" groups as you call them. You might want to try the Eun Jin 32g pellets to slow down your velocity since those Korean airguns seem to really like the Korean pellets. Either those or some 34g JSB Beasts. Lastly, & maybe the best thing to do, would be adjust or change out the hammer spring so that you get a better, slower shot string curve. If you do that, you may find the rifle will shoot a wider variety of pellets in tighter groups.

I actually happened to order some last night. Not sure if i have the 34 gr JSB but wouldnt be surprised if i did. I have some Rick Morrill ammo on the way too. Thanks

My jkhan 22 loves the 28 grain eunjin, have yet to get any of the 32 grain but I have some coming. It also loves ricks bbt hp. That round makes a nasty hole in whatever it hits.  Also loves a 24 grain swagged, hp and 2s nose. Got to love these Korean guns.

I started with Korean airguns and never looked back. I love them. Most have a linear shot curve but some aren't all that steep and at $400 to $500 used, there's enough room to get it tuned professionally. They're generally accurate and fun to shoot. Wish there were more available but I suppose the market has changed. Doesn't bother me as I have more than enough. Im still looking forward to seeing whats down the road though even if they are far and few between.

Tried out two of Rick Morrills boat tails, 34 gr JSB, and 32 gr Eun Jin pellets and none of them performed as well as the 28 gr Eun Jin domed pellets. Im satisfied with what its doing at 45 yards. Never intended it to be a everyday long range shooter. I'll leave it be until I decide to take it out again. It was relatively enjoyable to shoot anyhow. When I purchased the gun it came with a manual. I have pictures below. This version (the RS) was supposed to be able to function as an air shotgun as well. I never took to the air shotgun novelty so I wont be trying it but I thought it was neat. Calls for loading a cylinder with a wad, followed by no. 8 shot, then another wad.

I just noticed the magazine length on this rifle . Wow l!!!! lol me like you could easily fit a bullet up to an inch long .

The majority of .22 pellets are smaller in diameter compared to the Korean, if the pellets drop into the cylinder magazine instead of being pushed in I find that the POI is all over the place.

Yeah they perform much better than anything else. Im happy just using korean pellets. Once i find what a rifle likes best i usually stick with that one anyway even if it shoots other ammo respectably.

Not as of yet, thankfully.
