I need some adjustable rings, any ideas?
« on: April 30, 2018, 12:23:19 PM »
Been looking for some adjustable rings, specifically the FX no limit rings, but can't find them currently available anywhere. So I started looking for alternatives & I found the sportsmatch adjustable rings but $150.00 is a lot more than I'm willing to spend on rings atm, & they don't seem to have the amount of elevation adjustment I'd prefer either.

Anyone know where has the 1" FX no limit rings currently available?

Do you seek horizontal adjustment or just vertical?  How much?  Dovetail or Weaver mount?

You can find fully adjustable rings at http://sunopticsusa.com/airgun-scope-mounts/

They are solid but I found I prefer to cure the problem rather than the symptom.

I just bought a pair of the FX no limits rings at Airgun Depot, 1" weaver that they said were "in stock". Just went back on the site & now I'm seeing they are saying "Pre-order"  & my order is "Pending" So it's either I'm really lucky & got the absolute last one, or something screwed up somewhere.

Contacted AGD, & they were out of stock.
Saw these on AoA, & shot them an email & they confirmed they are in stock.

Thought you needed the 1" rings?
And I'm a bit confused by the ad.
"mounts are adjustable for cant, making it easy to keep your scope zeroes even at long ranges"
Isn't cant your Reticle as lined with your rifles bore in a vertical plane?
Or does cant also include the horizontal plane?

I do need a 1" mount, but realized I had a few 30mm-1" reducers, so I'll just slip them in & the 1" scope tube will fit just fine.
From a few video reviews I watched they function exactly the same as the no limits rings. The ad does say "cant" & yes, cant refers to how the the reticle lines up with the bore, but I think that's a descriptive error. Mechanically they are almost identical to the FX mounts with a few small exceptions, like being threaded to accept a bubble level and the picatinny rail on the top.

Got the Eagle Vision rings yesterday. They feel solid, & look & work like very high quality rings to, & there is a whole lot of vertical adjustment to be had with them.

For those needing adjustable rings, especially for scopes with 30mm tubes, this is an excellent alternative option to the FX no limits rings if they aren't available.

The adjustable mounts are only available in 30mm from Eagle Vision.
I bought mine directly from the company England, shipping wasn't too bad.
They sell matching reducers (30mm to 1 inch), and a screw-in bubble level.

Guys

I have been testing another brand of windage type of rings, similar to the Millet angle-loc brand.

These are Weaver Brand name, 1" dia and fit 3/8" dovetails,
I have used them on both 3/8 and 11mm dovetails and work very well.

I optically center my scopes, then use the windage of the base to center the shot group,
then finish using the internal adjustments etc.

Then finish with the upside down "T" test etc, and have great results,
when I can find a good shooting pellet the rifle likes.

YMMV,

Tia,

The FX rings, I believe are made by SportsMatch, are not springer rated.  What type of gun are they going on?
Did you think about these? ???
