Warp is ready for summer action!
« on: April 20, 2018, 07:30:10 PM »
I posted this earlier in the PCP gate but thought I'd add it here as well for people in the future looking up the WAR guns.

I've been on a crusade lately to deck out my Warp with American goodies (which isn't hard as long as you're willing to cough up the loot).  Just wanted to show you my gun and ask everyone to drop some pics of your own American beauties. ;)

I got this as an original, unregged warp and added all the Cobra upgrades as I went.  Thanks to Jim and all the members here on the forum for answering all my emails and questions along the way.

My rig:

WAR Warp Cobra .25, 12" barrel, 350cc bottle
SWFA 12x42 Mil-quad scope
UTG PRO Medium rings (Made in USA)
DonnyFL KOI
Atlas PSR BT-46 LW-17 bipod
Magpul CTR stock FDE (this stock is awesome and has a friction lock so it doesn't rattle around)
Magpul MOE+ grip FDE (I chose this grip because it has a grip cap so you can use the inside for storage)

Thanks Travis!  I almost went with a black stock and grip but glad I went with some color to spice it up a bit

Great looking gun!

I have a Flex .30 and also did the magpul upgrades.
I then had Travis install a regulator and Cobra valve.
I'm super happy with it but would like to fit a Donny to make it as silent as possible.

Question:-
What adapter did you use and where did you get it?

Hey Graham, thanks!  Jim makes a barrel/shroud tensioner now for the warp and flex that has 1/2 x 20 threads so you can add any ldc you want instead of the stock ldc.  Also has flats so you can use a wrench to add more tension.  I torqued mine hand tight + a 1/4 turn and it's good and solid now with no possibility of coming undone. Mine was around $45 shipped if I remember correctly.  Drop him an email and I bet he'll sort you out ;)  What magpul goodies did you add to your flex?

Edit:  heres a picture of mine next to the bottle

Thanks for the info

This is my Flex .30 - not as pretty as yours!

It's a simple hunting set up with a 2-7 Nikon rimfire scope.
I shoot off sticks so no bipod - ( I'm trying to keep the weight down.)

Very nice!  I've always liked the look of the Flex with the carry handle underneath like that.  Would have went for one except I like the compactness of the warp.

Nice one Matt!  Looks like a comfy stock on there, did you paint your bolt handle black or did it come that way?

I love that stock, adds some weight and pretty adjustable. I asked Jim to make the bolt black and he did it for me, customer service 100%!

Hey Matt,
Looks great.  I like the black bolt handle and will probably do that to all of them from now on.

The Tension Nut x 1/2" LDC adapters are in the store, and in stock.  With all the great LDCs on the market these guns are even quieter than before.  Our LDCs are quiet, but you can't beat a full-blown LDC for quietness.

WAR builds these guns to customer requirements.  I have attached stocks, grips, rails, scopes, etc to many guns at the customer's request.  I'm happy to do it at no cost (besides the part cost, of course).  We love all the ideas you guys come up with.

Enjoy the gun, Matt.  Thank you for supporting WAR.

Regards,
Jim

If only I were a better shot!  I shot these two 5-shot groups yesterday at 75 yards and the same thing that happens with every group.... 1 stray shot per group   >:(  I was shooting on a bench but without a rear bag just using my hand for support under the stock.  Wind was 0-10mph but I was shooting only when it died off.  I think with a little more magnification, a rear bag and no wind this gun could produce some insane long range groups.  I have yet to shoot for groups at 100 yards with it, 50 yards is just boring lol  I've smacked my small spinner so many times at 50 yards it looks like a cereal bowl now and every hit ricochets god knows where. ::)  Gonna try a couple ten shot groups this afternoon....

Main groups are easily under .5"...
