I actually just emailed them within the last couple of weeks and Tony replied that they still do the mods but they are snowed under with work. You send them your trigger and they tune it for £99 plus shipping. He says it will take at least a few months. Shipping costs and hassle alone is probably not worth the effort, however, reports on their results are teasing.I did my own tune just by taking it apart and polishing the contact points, but ONLY those points. You can mess things up if you change any profiles.Getting the springs all back in place was the biggest hurdle, and there are several procedures on Youtube that show various methods. Use a couple of spare drift punches to kinda hold things in place while driving the pins back in. Some of those pins hold three pieces in place, i.e. sear, washer, spring. After just now seeing that video again though, I'm seriously considering sending it to them. I would need a replacement in the meantime. Anyone know where to buy them at a good price? Here's the link to the guys in England: I found that link from a previous post here in the forum from a few years back: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=94643.0Stinger
Can't imagine the trigger being more forward on my 97k, thinking about getting a setback trigger for it.
thanks I should of posted that this was a copy and paste from another forumn I will edit my post.Yea I tried to get Luke to do me one, but he did not want to ship. He gave me basics but not the mods he does, he moves the pivot point by moving the trigger forward is something I read. Yogi I might have to ask for the details, do you have a copy of those detail instructions of the mod
I wondered the same thing about getting a new modded trigger from them but didn't pursue it any further. My interest is renewed however.Yogi above mentioned UK laws as a prohibition. I know that TW Chambers is real finicky about those export laws (barrels, receivers,....don't know about triggers). I suppose it's worth another email to Tony inquiring about that. He took about a week to respond, but he's seems like a nice enough Chap,eh? (I've been watching to many British detective dramas on Netflix).Anyway, I'll shoot him another mail, and if you do as well he may see that there is some interest from over here.Only place I've seen a new Rekord is from here: http://www.airgunspares.com/store/product/7130/Weihrauch-Rekord-Trigger-Mech/Here's an odd sidebar to all this: http://www.rowanengineering.com/pdf/HWSetbacktriggerInstruct.pdfStinger
I emailed Tony about an hour ago asking for clarification about their procedures and if they ship to the US. Also gave him a link to this discussion so he can see what we are all wondering about and discussing. Will let you all know how he responds.Stinger
