Best way to remove O-rings

What is the best way to remove O-rings w/o scratching the metal or scaring the O-ring?

I do have a pick set, but prefer not to use it.

Ben I got a set of these type of picks, they work every well and have long enough reach,
along with having different angles on the hook end, that allow you to slip the point down along side of the "O" ring,
and slide/lift it out of it's pocket, without any damage etc.

I also have the mechanics's type, with the plastic handles, I like the above better.

I use wooden tooth picks to remove o-rings myself. I don’t like any metal in the o-ring groove.

When I need to avoid scratches when removing o rings I use a hard plastic pick.

I did think of plastic, but I didn't know where get them or what to get.

 Disposable plastic dental picks, I'm good I use standard toolbox picks, but very very very careful

wooden food skewers, they are pretty stout and come to a point on one end.

I use stainless dental pics but they do make em in brass so you can't scratch the grooves.
A set is  on my shopping list.

I noticed that I actually have the red one, they call it the "deluxe" for some reason.  I think because its made out of ABS plastic?  I'm sure either one will do the trick anyway.



It's a handy little tool, I use it all the time for different reasons when tinkering on my airguns
