In addition to what I have mentioned, the clip seemed to be bit too loose for my preference. The Benjamin Marauder .22 OEM clip for the BNM custom repeater breech for the Discovery was sufficiently snug to not move around. The magazine for the Sortie moved quite a bit, having me worrying that it would fall out with little movement of the pistol.
Never again will I even think about purchasing a Hatsan.
Nomadic Pirate,Curious about the other Hatsans you mention. What problems did you experience with the BT65? Was it a clip issue?
Lion,You wouldn't think that the pistol would be that particular and temperamental with no mentioning of specifics in the manual just to get it to cycle properly. The Hatsans that I had and those that I still have, were produced in Turkey for the European market and at 'full power', so no restriction in the fpe/Joule.I have never had a problem with the AT44, the AT44-10, the Trophy, Sortie, BT, AT-P1, AT-P2, BullBoss, Hercules. Was I lucky so far, or is there a difference in the production?
I was curious about your experience with the BT65, because I purchased the BT65SB Elite QE in .22 cal. I haven't had a chance to do any test shooting with it, because I have been fighting quality control problems with my Discovery forcing me to modify it to get rid of the breech and barrel for custom components. Project has eaten up a bunch of time and money. If you look up my other posts, you'll figure out what I have gotten into. Issues with Hatsan customer service are a number of my other posts. But, that was more about the customer service as oppose to the quality of the parts, machining and assembly processes.
