Hello, my Urban had a hard time feeding pellets and notice the bolt probe o-ring seems to be damaged. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it? Happened after a few hundred shots. Thanks

hi,

is the probe perfectly alligned with the breech ?
are the pellets damaged ? can you push some pellets through with a rod to inspect ?

OP's post may be why I got probe o rings with my urban.....good luck

When I first got my Urban it was difficult to feed pellets. I had to loosen the two screws on the top of the breech and adjust the magazine tray. That fixed the problem for me. Your's was feeding okay at first, so I would check the screws to ensure they have not become loose and allowed the magazine try to get out of alignment. The magazine tray does not move much, but it does move enough to make a difference.

I had the same issue after about 500 pellets or so plus it was a very cold day when it happened. My gun started getting loud and that's when I noticed the probe oring had pieces missing. I just replaced the oring and its been good for several hundred more pellets so far. Its a wear item and just needs replaced sometimes. Now as the other poster said it could be an alignment issue but mine wasn't. One thing I found that really helped smooth out the cocking and feeding was that I cleaned the factory grease out of the bolt area and relubed lightly with moly. I also shoot lubed pellets now(Slick 50). Gun cocks and feeds pellets very smooth now..

My o-ring got chewed up PDQ too.

Steel cover plate on one of my mags had a sharp edge on the inside of the hole where the bolt goes through. There were little slivers of o-ring inside of the mag when I took it apart. A careful de-burring of the hole, a new o-ring, and all is well in Urbanland.

Silicone divers grease does a good job as well.

why not simply measure the "O" ring and at local auto parts store, Lowes/Home Depot, or order from Mcmaster car, or The O Ring Store online.

O rings are not uncommon. In fact, very common!

I replaced all my breech "O" rings with much harder, and wear resistant Cast Silicone "O" Rings

IIRC I used a 70D urethane one on my Urban (size 006).

006 fit perfect on my Urban bolt. I compared it to the OEM one and it appeared a perfect match.

I could be wrong though; there's a 1st for everything...

Pellet probe rings:
.177 2mm bore 1.5mm cord thickness commonly sized as 2x1.5mm
.22 3mm bore, 1.5mm cord thickness commonly sized as 3x1.5mm
Use NBR70 grade.

006 is the size for .25 probes.

.25 o-ring = 1.78 x 2.9 = -006 -> 6.46mm OD = 0.254" I use those in my .25 BSA.
