the Sam Yang Eagle Claw is available since the end of 2016. Sam Yang makes it in .177/4,5mm, .22/5,5mm and .25/6,35mm.It has an adjustable power and a shrouded barrel, but makes at maximum power a lot of noise. It is very easy to use this air rifle in single shot. The magazine can be put in the air rifle, without cocking the air rifle. The magazine has a safety and a fire mode. So you can lock the magazine and uncock the Eagle Claw. The magazine will load a new pellet if it put on 'fire'mode and the air rifle is cocked.Unfortunately this air rifle has some malfunctions: the scew thats fixes the barrel on the front comes loose: easy to fix by yourselves. And the magazines have a production error. They will fall out of the air rifle when shooting on maximum power. new magazines will be available in March. Mine Eagle Claws (in .22 and in .25) are at maximum power not so accurate as my Sumatras and my Golden Saver, but they are more powerfull.
In the Eagle Claw .22 I use Sam Yang Pellets: 'domed' and "spils'. In the .25 I use also the Sam Yang domed [298 m/s] and Spits [285 m/s] pellets and casted Slugs 51 grains.I lost my data about de .22 and the .25 slugs The Eagle Claw makes a lot of noise. Sam Yang doesn't make a moderator for this air rifle. So I have to make an adaptor for mounting a silencer. You have to get used to shoot and handle this air rifle. It is very different from the Sumatra and e.g. Hatsan. Once you are used to shoot with the Eagle Claw it's a great hunting rifle: single shot, a magazine that can be locked so you safely can uncock the air rifle and cock again without loading a second pellet in the barrel, put the magazine in without cocking, put an extra pellet in the barrel and put a full magazine in gives you one extra shot. (Here it is not allowed to hunt with air rifles.)When shooting at maximum power, the power adjuster sometimes gets stuck. Easy to fix: simlpy try to push back the adjust wheel a bit or use a small plastic hammer.
